We just got a call from our new Vacation Club Guide - our third in less than a year. Is this turnaround normal?

Our new guide is Tony Diehl.

I have had the same guide since I joined over 10 years ago...

(What are you doing to yours?? LOL!)

I have the second one in a year also. We just bought another 100 points from are new guide this week. She is new but very nice. If I get a new one I think I will call and ask for one that has been around for a while.

HAHA - nothing! I never even called - and we even met Guide #2 when we were there in March - very nice - had a lot of fun! Oh well. I hope Tony lasts - he says he's been there 12 years. :-)

Tony just called me to introduce himself last week! He seemed very nice. We became members a few months ago after our November trip. Our original guide was Helme... nice, also, but never heard from him again after we sent in our papers.

Funny - Helmi was our second guide, Tony is our third. I guess Tony got some of Helmi's clients.

i guess i have been lucky I only have one guide since 1993. He sold me okw and boardwalk and I know I can;t wait to the contemporay.

We have had 2 and we will stick with our current guide as long as he is willing to stick with us.

We were reassigned by DVC last year after some weird stuff happened with our then guide. We now have Ron B. and we could not be happier!

Do members have constant contact with there guide or only at sale time

I've always had the same guide but it makes no difference because I never hear from him until I call to add on. I like it that way.

My guide is not the touchy feely type. He knows I will contact him if I want to buy.

I don't go along with the theory on here that "my guide calls me on vacation because he/she loves me" NO! They want to remind you to call and BUY!!!:rotfl:

We had Bob Minnigan (sp?) when we bought in 1995. We've had Betty Prykryl since Bob left which must be about 11 or 12 years now. Betty doesn't bug us, but will send us a Welcome Home message when we are on site and tell us to contact her if we want to buy in to whatever is for sale then.

We've always had the same guide since we joined in 1999. Her name is Kelly and we hear from her when there are new resorts or offering to buy resorts that are just about sold out.

I thought that the guides were assigned on a geographical basis but apparently not because our guide is Joan Lane and she also handles other people in the Boston area, but BigTigger has Bob Minnigan and BigTigger is from the next town to me.

Are the guides assigned in some sort of logical basis ??

I don,t think they have any specific territory. I think it,s just the luck of the draw, who ever walks in for a tour when your available. Our guide is Joan Lane we talked to her on a Disney Magic cruise and we,re from California, she was working on the ship the week we happened to be on.:goodvibes
