We went to WDW for July 4th and the week after and the crowds were fine. We just avoided the EE parks and had a great time. We are definitely going back this year for the 4th. I HAVE to see those awesome fireworks again.

Do you think the week leading into the 4th would be the less busy week this year? The holiday is on a Sunday so do you think most people will take off the four days after the holiday Monday or go down the week before and leave on the holiday Monday?

I'm going crazy trying to figure out what I want to do?!!?

I think the week before would be the less busy of two weeks you are looking at.Hey what's Chip doing with Dales hat.:earsboy:  :earsgirl: :sunny:

Thanks for the quick reply. Our travel times are flexible for either week.

That is Dale. My daughter told him to sit down at our table next to me. He was kissing me and I was blushing. :o

We are planning on going June 26 through July 10 next summer. I too was wondering about crowds. Also the heat. We were just there in late August and it was hot and humid with some bad rainstorms.
Which park did you go to on the Fourth? I am trying to decide which Fireworks display to see. Do they all do something special? Do they light up the castle with special colors or anything?

Hi Chim Chiminy - cool name. Now I'm singing the song in my head. Thanks alot.:D

We did not go to any parks on July 4th. We had breakfast at Chef Mickey's then went to Ft. Wilderness for pony rides. We had dinner at O'Hanas and lucked out with a castle view window table! The fireworks were so amazing!

Every time we went by MK on the monorail, the crowds looked pretty thick. Epcot wasn't crowded at all for the entire time we were in WDW. If I had to choose a park for 7/4, I'd go there. But we probably will just relax on the holiday. Depending on which week we decide to go down, this might be our last day. :(
