Tired of our wet, cold weather out here in Seattle and am thinking on doing a quick 4 day solo trip to WDW. Seems I just can't bring myself to make the ressies. Convince me I'll be fine and have a great time!

You need convincing to go to WDW? I don't think so ;) ... it is great, even on your own. I returned from a 3 day solo trip to DLRP (see the Disneyland Paris board for the report) and had lots of fun... I might be going to WDW nesxt year for 10 days... alone... and I know I'll have fun... And if your a Disney fan (and I am sure you are) you have a blast....

So go and enjoy and then share a trip report over here cause we all want to know how it was.

I am in the same boat, I need to go back but DH doesn't want to right now so I am looking into a solo trip but I am not sure yet. I have never gone on any trip solo.

I have made many solo trips to WDW. I prefer solo trips now, because I never have to worry about anyone elses preferences, schedules, or problems - I go where I want, when I want, I eat what I want, I ride what I want, as many times as I want, and I never have to compromise.

Try reading some of my trip reports to get an idea of what a solo trip can be like:

Believe me, you'll be fine and you'll have a great time. Honestly, I've gone on about 6-7 solo trips and I've always thoroughly enjoyed every one. On my first solo trip, I checked in at 1:30 in the morning and refused the bell staff's offer to carry my luggage to my room. Half way there, in the dark, I got a little nervous and thought how stupid I'd been to refuse the escort. Then I heard voices around the next corner. Oh, oh! As I rounded the corner, I encountered....two women in formal gowns and Mickey ears! That's when I realized that beyond normal precautions, my security was fine. Now I take an annual solo trip-DH and I both see this as a normal need. Such freedom! Once I was at the BW one evening, saw the ferry so I ran over to just take a ride. The CM went down the line of people to make sure no one was going to a place that the ferry wouldn't go. Everyone had a destination when he asked, "Where to?" When I said, "Oh, just for a ride on the ferry", at first everyone laughed, thinking I was kidding, not realizing it was an example of just doing what a solo wants when they want, spur of the moment.

I just returned from a 7 day solo trip to POR... I had a fabuous time and ate when I wanted... slept when I wanted and rode what I wanted!!!!
I saw lots of solos down there and I wouldnt trade that trip for the world!!!
GO for it!!!!! :cool1:

When are you folks going to the World? I travel solo all the time, and will be back 5/9 - 5/16. Have met up with other Disers before for dinner and play at the parks.

I just did a solo trip just after Thanksgiving last year. I'm a single person, so I'm used to doing things on my own schedule (which means that I never stop :hyper: ) and I was able to do and see SO much stuff without a family member or friend slowing me down. I always felt safe (I'm a short little woman) and I would do it again in a heartbeat! Yes, my friends and family thought me crazy, but I think it made them realize that they were probably missing out; hence the trip listed below with a gaggle of friends in tow.

I really hope you decide to do it. I'm sure that you won't regret it - just bring a cell phone to call your family/friends at home to gloat ;)
