and I have some questions for all you Pro's????

1st off and most importantly Accomodations!

I am right now looking at 2 places one being Turtle Cay (which looks very nice) but not located on the beach.... Ok We can cope. But then I noticed a place called The Villas at the Boardwalk which is located on the beach but I can't seem to get any pictures of.

Can any of you great people help me out here?

I was also wondering about Ocean Breeze vs. Water Country USA. 1 the other or both????

Thanks Everyone, I appreciate the info.

I lived in VA Beach last year, but I'm not too familiar with the hotels since I never stayed at any. When my parents came to visit, they stayed at the Clarion which is not on the beach but just down the street and it was decent. There's also an Extended Stay, it was 10-15 min drive from the beach. But it was nice and conveniently located near the malls and grocery stores. If you can't find any pictures of a particular hotel, I would advise that you look elsewhere. Although there were some nice hotels on the beach, some of them were pretty yucky looking.

Sorry I'm not much help. But I hope you enjoy your trip. I absolutely love Virginia Beach, and wish I could live there again:) Good luck!

Ocean Breeze is closer to VB.... Water Country is near Williamsburg, which is a ways away esp with summer traffic. If you're driving and coming through on I-64, I would definitely plan a trip to WC USA. We have season's passes and absolutely love it. Lots to do for all ages from littlest ones to fun / fast raft type rides to great wave pool. (Ocean Breeze is smaller, I believe - the kids have been, but I haven't....) Also, Water Country is a Busch theme park, so if you have any season's passes to sea world, Busch Gardens, etc., you will get a discount or free depending on which level of pass you have.

Don't know much about the hotels - sorry!

Have fun!

Lived here for 20 plus years and still don't know the hotels!! Water Country is definitely bigger but Ocean Breeze is just up the road from the ocean front. I don't know about those villas. I would have to see them, but I remember seeing something called a Villa and thinking it isn't all it is cracked up to be. I'll see if I can find some local sights and send them back to you!

I hope you get to come to our wonderful neck o the woods!

I couldn't find The Villas at the Boardwalk but i did find the Boardwalk Hotel and Villas. Not sure if it is the same thing or not (it's not what I was thinking, but that is probably because of my faulty mind).

Anyway go to this site http://www.vbfun.com/vbfun_2003/singleReturnListing.asp?cat=7&crumbid=12&listall=1&attrid=20250 and it will take you directly to the name of the resort and all you do then is click on that link (it doesn't open with a url)

Also try www.vbfun.com this is the official tourist website.

Good luck and let me know if this is the information you were looking for!

WOW! Thanks everyone. I knew I could count on all you amazing Dis'ers!
That was very helpful. I appreciate it very much!

If you don't mind 1 more question? Out of Late June, July & August. Which month do you think it best for a visit.

The last few times we have been it was always late August. I thought it was great.

Tara,

I have the same problem!
