thinking of these restaurants for our next visit, opinions please?

we just got back and ate at a lot of counter service places and a couple of sit-downs (Beaches and Cream, Electric Umbrella, Pinocchio Haus, Pizzafari, Pecos Bill's, Cosmic Ray's, Columbia Harbor House, 'Ohana, Sci-Fi).

I'm already planning the next trip in November and thinking of these places:
Cape May Clambake
Crystal Palace
Liberty Tree Tavern

Can you offer opinions on these places? Any questions on the places we ate welcomed!

You will LOVE Crystal Palace. It is our favorite restaurant in all of WDW. The breakfast is wonderful, character interaction is great and the atmosphere is beautiful. I have not eaten at the other two but I have heard good things.

How did you like those Counter service meals? Pinocchio/ Peco bills, Beaches and Cream. I have read good things on the boards but was interested in your experience and whether you think you would go back or not.

Cape May Clambake- great dinner buffet....salad bar is good....peel and eat shrimp, clams, great desserts!
Breakfast at Cape May is good too...Characters are great!

Crystal Palace- we have had lunch there a few times and are planning on breakfast soon! good atmosphere...great character interaction and good buffet choices!

Liberty Tree Tavern - FABULOUS lunch menu......yummy! Dinner is great too.....comfort foods and characters!

Haven't been to CP since the refurb, but if it's anything like before, the food will be great and the character interaction great too.

We did Cape May Clam Bake just in Dec and it was great. Plenty of land-lubber food and awesome seafood as well. Excellent dessert buffet.

Liberty Tree was great - do I sense a theme? The all you can eat dinner was really good. The atmosphere was really excellent. Plus the colonial characters were really a treat. I want to try lunch here too, but dinner is a definite thumbs up.

Thanks for the replies! We are a family of 4, DH & 14yr old DD can eat!!! DS (3yo) is kind of picky, so the buffests work out good, everyone gets what they like!

My mom has always said that Disney has the 'best burgers and dogs', I can't remember ever having what I would consider a bad meal there.

I loved Pecos Bill's and we ate there several times, thanks to reviews on these boards. For 4 of us to have combos and drinks, the bill was only $28, not bad by Disney standards. the fixins' bar was awesome and the atmosphere was nice. I wouldn't hesitate to go back on future trips.

My DD loved Beaches & Cream. What a deal; we used 2 Quick and Casual vouchers (total cost $22.50) to get 2 double burger and fry combos, 4 drinks and the Kitchen Sink! The bill would have been at least $50. We had more than enough food-the Kitchen Sink is an attraction in and of itself. We will definitely go back there many times to come!

DS liked Pinocchio Village Haus the best. The food was comparable to Pecos Bill's, but I think he liked the atmosphere better. We sat by the window and could watch the boats launch from IASW. Another great fixins' bar, just as Cosmic Ray's. We'll eat there again!

We're having so much fun checking out all the places to eat...enjoy!

Cape May Cafe---- the Clambake is our favorite and we never have missed it on any trip. Can't wait until March 24th!!! There is a good variety and the service is very good.

Crystal Palace--- never eaten there.

Liberty Tree Tavern--- big disappointment. The food tasted like it was precooked, the macoroni and cheese tasted like Stouffers (not that I don't like Stouffers, but I don't expect it at WDW) and the service was very lackluster... in fact, with the exception of the characters, which were very good, the entire meal was very lackluster. Major disappointment after reading such awesome reviews !!!!!
