Thinking of switching some things around

Thinking about dropping our Chef Mickey's dinner on our arrival day as it is a later ADR & I'd rather eat earlier & go to bed to get ready for the next day.
So, I'm thinking of switching to 1900 Park Fare that night.
Originally I had 1900 PF on our AK night, now I'm trying to figure out where we should eat that night.
I thought about Tusker House or Boma. Which would you recommend over the other? Or is there somewhere else you'd recommend instead, preferably in a resort as I opted to not get park hoppers this trip.

You might want to try seeing what ressies are available before you switch anything. I decided to change one day of trip and it took a couple weeks of obsessively checking the reservation page before I got a "perfect" match for our schedule. An early dinner at 1900 Park Fair was one of the ressies I would have snagged in a heartbeat but in all my weeks of checking I never saw it once. With a large party Boma might be difficult to get as well. Not sure about TH.

If available, 1900PF is a great place for a first night dinner.

For your AK day, Tusker is OK. I like Boma better. Note that Tusker just went to characters for lunch but not for dinner.

With your "pirate crew"; have you looked at WCC in the Wilderness Lodge? If you are on the DDP, for 1 TS credit you can get an all-you-can-eat BBQ skillet meal served family style, and they allow a bottomless milkshake as the DDP beverage too. Not everybody at the table has to order the skillet; they do have regular menu items as well. The restaurant is very, um, boisterous.

You can't go wrong with either Tusker House or Boma......both are great! 1900 is a nice experience if you have girls.
