Hi all,

I'm headed to the world this Wednesday for a short adult only trip with DH and 3 other couples. As it stands this is our plan:

Wednesday: flight arrives around 6:30pm, so just plan on checking into resort (SSR) and heading to DS for food/drinks/shopping.

Thursday: lateish (10-11am) arrival to Epcot for F&W, etc. We plan on staying until park close and if we aren't totally exhausted, willing to Jellyrolls for some fun.

Friday: We have tickets to MNSSHP and plan to arrive at MK for the 3pm let in time for party tickets. We have fast passes and an ADR to BOG to get us between 3 and 7pm party start. Morning is DS for breakfast and time at SSR pool.

What I'm wondering is if we try to hit AK at rope drop Friday morning (just DH and myself), will I be able to get on both FOP and NR without FP without wating over 90min? (Assuming wait for first one would be under 30 min if we arrive doe rope drop 30 min or more before scheduled opeonkng).

They start letting guests into the party at 4pm, not 3pm. I would go over to AK if it were me. Hit FOP at Rope drop then check the line for NR. FOP is much better and i wouldn't wait over 30 minutes for NR, but you may be able to get a day-of FP for that one.

As PP noted, they don't let party guests in until 4:00 pm so unless you have an AP or a regular park ticket for Friday that you are willing to use to enter prior to 4 pm, you will need to adjust your MK schedule.

If you arrive only 30 mins prior to rope drop (i.e. 830 a.m. on a 900 am day), your wait at FoP might be a long one. On a 9 a.m. open day, is definitely possible to get FoP and NRJ done by 930, but you may need to arrive closer to 8 or 815 a.m. Even through the published hours are 9 a.m., they seem to open the park well before that. On our rope drop day, they let people into the park at around 815. I have a picture of us waiting at the bridge to Pandora at 818 a.m., we were being led to the ride by 830 and in the first preshow at 840. So if arrive at 830, you're well behind a few hundred people at least and the line has already formed. The line for FoP builds immediately - the standby wait time seems to be automatically set at 60 mins first thing in the morning. When we exited the ride at around 855 on our rope drop day, the line for FoP already stretched out of the queue and into Pandora.

Yes you can do it, but as noted above, you can't just arrive at RD. You have to arrive 60-75 minutes before RD to avoid a 90+ minute wait. Whether you can do this, or even want to do this, may depend on what you do on Thursday. Seems like you have a full day (and night) planned out, so only you can decide if you want to hear your alarm go off at 6:30.

You can ride both FOP and NRJ in the morning. You will have to be at bag check (or go bagless which is faster) at least 60 minutes before the park opens. You can finish FOP by about 10-15 minutes after the park opens and the NRJ will only be about 15-20 minute standby. So yes you can do both within 1 hour after rope drop.
We did this twice. Once during EMM and once during normal park opening. Both times we arrived 60-70 minutes prior to the opening time.
