Thinking of selling on my own - any tips??

Does anyone have any advice on selling a contract on their own? I have heard many good things about several resale companies on this board - but thought I'd give it a shot selling myself first (I figured it was worth saving about $1,500). If it doesn't work out, or ends up too much work, I have no problem listing it with an agent, but since I am in no immediate rush, I think I am going to give it a try.
Any suggestions as to where to list (I would like to avoid ebay) or closing companies/escrow agents that specialize in timeshare transactions?

I would think that you would still need a title company to do the title search. I would call the Timeshare Store and ask what they would charge to broker the contract and then just to do the title and transfer work. We just bought a contract for $11,590 and the total costs to do everything was only $450 which I split with the seller.
