Hi,

We are really thinking about pushing our September trip to the week of December 13th - 20th. I do have some concerns ... but there are also a lot of pros. Maybe you all can help me sort this out?

Here are my pros and cons to switching:

Pros
Will have a lot more $$ in Dec to enjoy trip
Will not be so darn hot in Dec
Dec 18th is my b-day :-)
Will be nice to see all the holiday decorations
MVMCP !
Better time for our work schedules.

Cons
It could be too cold!
Who knows if any codes will come out?!
DS will miss 5 days of school instead of 4
The crowds may not be as light as in September?
WE HAVE TO WAIT LONGER!!

So what would you do?

For me, it rarely gets TOO cold in Florida - as long as I'm packed for the weather!

The Christmas Season will almost always win out for us... this year is our first in long time to go outside the Christmas Season (We're going for Halloween)... and it's kind of sad :(

I vote for December because:
- Weather could be chilly but is usually beautiful (unlike September which is usually hot, humid and rainy)
- The Christmas decorations and special events are wonderful.
- Crowds will probably be lighter (prior to Christmas is a very slow time, plus the Fairytale package will be over).
- Regarding codes: you don’t know yet whether you’ll get one for September, right? I think you’re just as likely to get one for December.

I would vote for December. There's nothing like holiday season in "The World". It's beautiful...and so much fun!

Sure, the weather can be chilly. It can also be very hot. We spent Christmas Day, 1982 in the pool at the Polynesian because the temp was 92 degrees. (I was just reading my trip notes last night. I can't remember what I had for breakfast today, never mind what I was doing more than 20 years ago). The year before we spent the week after Thanksgiving at Fort Wilderness in our tent...and the zipper froze shut one night after a rain storm.

The crowds are a lot less in December, and missing one more day of school shouldn't be a problem. Your son will probably get more value out of that extra day in WDW.

It's always fun to celebrate your birthday at WDW!

Go in December and have a great time. It's worth the extra wait!

Thanks for the replies!

We have pretty much decided to go ahead and change our ressies, hope for a good code or deal to come out. Just hate to let go of that FTP!! In all reality though, we don't like to go into the parks everyday and I don't like water parks so having that UPH was kind of making me crazy. LOL

Things really won't be as tight then and I'm looking foward to having my b-day in Disney! :Pinkbounc

Thanks again!
