Thinking of renting.....

I'm planning a trip Dec 1 to Dec 7 this year. I have been planning to stay at POP, but thought I would explore the possiblity of renting at Old Key West. Is there someplace to look at pictures of the studio rooms here? Also, what is the tax rate on points?

There is no tax on points. Whatever price you and the owner negotiate is what you pay.

Renting points is the way to go. I am a member of DVC and needed some extra points for our trip. The transaction went smooth and we booked our extra room for our trip. Find out how many points are needed and start watching the rent and trade board. keep an eye on posts and ask questions. The average is about $10.00 a point. I say go for it!!!! OKW is very nice and is easier to get points for. Have a great time and good luck.

Just a heads up. The first weeks of December are VERY popular at DVC resorts and sell out early. Best not think too long about it. If you can make a decision soon, you might want to move on the arrangements. You will be shocked at how early the DVC resorts can sell out in December!

I second that! If you want to stay the first week of December you should book in the next few weeks. Really.
