Hey all,
I;m just tickled thinking about starting the planning of my families next Disney trip!! I am thinking first week of December 2011.
how far in advance does everyone book their trip?
Can I book lets say 9 or 10 mos in advance and pay towards the trip everymonth?
How does everyone one do it?

I'm going to try to pay for this trip myself with the money I earn from my little craft businesss I have on Etsy. So I don't have a big lump sum of money to pay off all at once like we did in the past trips when my hubby was paying for it. I can't wait to tell/show him that I've paid for the trip myself!!!! '

Thanks everyone,
Fran

You should be able to book it now if you have your deposit ready. I usually book as soon as I have the deposit $. Then I call to adjust my reservation if I get a pin code or free dining offer.

You can book your package now, all you have to put down is a $200.00 deposit. The balance doesn't have to be paid off until 45 days before your check-in date. Also, I would recommend going the third week of December (the week before Christmas), as it has lower crowds than the 1st week of December. The first week of December used to be the slowest of the month, but with every WDW travel book touting the first two weeks of December as the best time to so, well the secret is out. Plus you can avoid the Pop Warner crowds and the Parade Taping crowds if you go the third week.

WOW, thanks so much!! I didn't realize this secret was OUT...lol
Ok, so the week before Christmas is not busy like the week between Christmas and Newyears? Cuz I've heard that is the craziest busiest week of the year.

The week between Christmas and New Year's IS the craziest, most crowded and most expensive week of the entire year. The week before has low crowds. The crazy Christmas crowds will not start rolling in until about the 20th. Each day after that it will build and build to capacity crowds. Since 2005 we have been three times in December - the 1st, 2nd and 3rd weeks in December. We are going back for the 3rd week this year. We will be there December 10 - 19.
