Thinking Of getting Quick Service Plan . Couple Questions?

Im thinking Of Getting The Quick Service plan , Never acually Done a dining Plan . I Know i get 2 Quick Service Meals and 2 Snacks , am i correct?

1st Question ? What Qualifies as a Snack?
2nd? Can i Use this for ALL Quick Service restraunts Or it it Only Certain ones
how Bout at the Hotel?
3rd Can i Use it at any of the restraunts in Downtown Disney?


Please help ... LOL

It Also Says i get a Refillable mug , Is this for Hotel use only Or Can i Use it in the Parks?

You should check out the restaurant forum/dining plan..it wil have all the answers you need. A mod will probably move your question over to the right forum.
The refillable mug is for your resort only, no where else.

Snacks are usually under $4. See this thread. Think ice cream, popcorn, bottled drinks and the like.

You can use your CS credits at any CS restaurant on the dining plan, including at your resort and DTD.

The mug is for use, meaning you refill it, at your resort only.

I'll tell you this ~ we've done Quick Service a few times. Snacks are good to have but we typically end up bringing most home with us.

The refillable mug is good only at your resort... BUT when we eat at places that refill your soda.. I will usually use a refill to pour into my mug.

There has never been a QS that we wanted to use it at that didn't take it... BUT there are places that are NOT a good deal to use it for.

1: ALOT qualifies as a snack! lots and lots and lots...i think its anything under 4.95 or 3.95 but most things qualify. (including the HUGE cinnamon roll from main street bakery )
2: from what I've encountered, yes you can
3: depends on the resort. At All Stars and POP yes you can. I think you can use it at others since they all have a quick service restaurant
4: yes Earl of Sandwich, the quick service side of Wolfgang puck, Goofy's candy co.(for snacks)
5: umm i think it is only for resort, someone correct me if I am wrong.

I personally LOVE the quick service dinning plan. I like knowing my food expense is paid for in advance so I don't have to budget that into spending money. Unless you do a couple sit down table service. It is alot of food we had about 10 snack credits (between 2 of us) left at the end of our last trip. We went to goofy's and brought stuff home!

We had the QS dining plan last year, and we didn't have any snack credits left over because we used them for our breakfast each day. We still had plenty of snacks in the park (popcorn, ice cream, fries) too.

We have used the QS plan two years in a row and found we had more than enough options for food.

The snack options are great and you can get fruit bowls as an option.

refill mugs we used a lot and found that in the morning DH was better to get two drinks with is breakfast and then use his mug for coffee.

If you go to allears.net you can find a list of all participating resturaunts, menu items with current prices (to see if it makes sense for you to purchase the plan) I don't know if it lists snacks anywhere, but I think you will be suprised by what IS included as a snack. The plan isn't cheap, but they certianly don't skip on their offerings (for instance, a dole whip can be purchased with a snack credit. Those are not tiny!! and they are so yummy!) We won't go back without the QS plan. We have yet to find a resturaunt that doesn't accept the plan, and not having to get out the $$$ every time we want to eat is a huge plus! They make food easily avalible everywhere at Disney. (again cehck allears.net)
