Hi
After much debate and wondering about LBV resort village and spa,s location as we have no car,I was thinking about changing the hotel to one of the universal hotels. It is my 40th after all.Any suggestions as to which one.Never stayed onsite there and anyone know of any offers around. I need to check with hotels .com if I can change or if they will refund. Also would like to know of any good resturants at city walk as would like a nice meal.Im not into fish but DB is so as long as they serve meat im ok. Thanks. Also what benefits would I get?

Nobody wants to answer me:sad1: Well I have spoke to hotels.com and I can change accomodation toeither hardrock hotel or royal pacific but need to look at which one. Both are only £104 more to pay so definatley changing.Anyone:confused3:worship:

I would 100% change if no car and you are doing Universal parks. As for which one its a personal choice. We haven't stayed at any at Universal yet but I did lots of research for our August trip. Royal Pacific for us, didn't like look or sound of Hard rock at all but others love it.

Thanks wayne at last someone answered me.Spole to mart tonight and he said the same. Hva to wait till friday when I get paid to change it over.Hotels .com said they would cancel the booking and I could book online and get 10% discount but when I read on the cancellation form it says it can take upto 3 months to refund the money:scared1:If thats the case I will just pay the extra with the 10%.Paid through quidco last time so was hoping to go through topcashback if I did manage to cancel and start again. Does that sound cheeky:surfweb: You there when mart is?? Better ring and warn the manager:woohoo::rotfl2::rotfl:

Well we personally love the RPR. It is a gorgeous hotel. We wouldn`t want to stay anywhere else now. :thumbsup2 We didn`t really like the HRH, not sure why and the PBH was a bit dull. The pool area is lovely.... as fun or as quiet as you want it to be.

You will get unlimited express pass with your room key, one per person in each room. This is gold to us. You can use this from as early as you can check in the first day, even if your room is not ready, they will store your luggage. And when you check out it is good all day.

In Citywalk, which is one of our favourite places there are plenty of lovely places to eat.

Margaritaville is by far our favourite and Nascar and NBA are good too. We weren`t overkeen on HRC, but others like it.

In the RPR you have Jake`s Bar, Islands Dining, Tchoup Chop, Orchids Sushi Bar at night and the Bula Bar by the pool. All of these have a very varied menu so you should be good for something that suits both of you.

We have eaten in them all and they are all wonderful. No complaints from us.

All 3 hotels have their own charm but for us the RPR is very hard to beat. We felt very much at home here as staff were wonderful in every area of the hotel.

Hope you enjoy it whichever one you go for. :)

The last two trips we have stayed at RPR for 1 night, we found that this worked out cheaper than paying for 2 days taxis & fast passes. We don't hire a car either. the fotl passes are great as you can use as many times as you wish, unlike the day fast passes which are only valid for 1 go per ride. This year we are staying for 2 nights as we feel we want more time to enjoy the resort. RPR is very relaxing & the staff are very friendly. We like Jakes Bar and it is a lovely walk to IOA. Not stayed at Hard Rock but it doesn't appeal to me although, lots love it. I think you should go to RPR.

Thankyou for you advice especially about the resturants schumigirl:lovestruc. At such a good rate I would be stupid not to book it. Was looking forward to LBVRVS but this is even better and we will save on taxis and queueing.

Do whatever you can for best price.
You know I am totally lost who is there same time as us now, I believe Mart could be there, Luke, Mart & Nigel.
We are there 5th-8th. We are all well behaved guests, the manager will have no problems (unless I get drunk:rotfl2:)

We are there 6th - 10th, so i will be able to keep my eye on Wayne and make sure he behaves himself :rotfl2:

Yep we are there on the 5th, and also are well behaved (usually ;) )

:goodvibes

We stayed at RPR for one night last Easter, and with the FOTL passes, we managed to get all the rides we wanted to do in each park by around 3pm, and if the weather hadn't have been so cold , we would have had a pleasant late afternoon around the pool!!

We have booked ourselves into RPR again this year just before you arrive (29 Jul-2 Aug), and are hoping that this time we can again finish early in the parks then get a few hours relaxing by the pool before heading down to Citywalk in the evening.

Sorry to throw the spanner in but we've stayed at all three .... and FAR prefer the HRH and PF to RPR .... Stayed at the RPR for 1 night last year in August, my husband swam underwater and came up saying the bottom was filthy. Just my view but PF if you like it quiet and classy, HRH is ultra cool and so much fun ... either way you're definately doing the right thing switching staying on-site Universal is worth every penny :lovestruc
