we have booked to go to the por next year, we are now thinking of changing to the pop as it looks more fun for the kids. but i really dont want to make the wrong choice. we have for kids aged between 15 and 3, so any advice would really help.
thanks kellie:confused:

we've never stayed at pop, so i don't know what that's like...
we've stayed at all star music and sports and both are fun and less expensive than POR...
but we've also stayed at POR (3 times) and loved it there as well....
the truth is, we've enjoyed every disney resort we've stayed in, from the least to the most expensive....each is fun in its own way, so you shouldn't stress yourself out over picking one over the other..

at POR, we stayed in the alligator bayou section, which we all thought was really lovely (beautiful landscaping and you don't even feel that you're at WDW)..

the main swimming pool at POR is fun (i think it's called ole man island) and you can rent fishing poles there to fish...and you can take the boat from POR to Downtown Disney (free)...
and you can rent bikes and ride over to POFQ and back.....we enjoyed that as well...

the 3 times we stayed at POR we were in building 14, the closest building to the food court (and not too far from the pool)...

also, there is a guy who performs at POR several times a week - i can't remember his name...it's in the bar, but it's a family show....he plays the piano and sings and everyone sings along.....it's lots of fun....

if it were me, i'd stick with POR.....

Hard choice.I have stayed at both pop last november and POR recently.I loved the theming at pop as it is very disney with all the icons etc.POR is more sophisticated and the rooms are nicer although we were not as lucky with the location and had quite a walk everyday but it didn't spoil our holiday:thumbsup2 .Who are you booking through? Why don't you do a split stay to get the best of both.If we go next year we are going to do 5 nights at pop and 8 nights at wilderness lodge. We went with VH last november for our wedding and did a week at pop and a week at CBR.If you want the dinig plan though virgin wont do it but you could allways book direct or through dreams unlimited.Good luck

We have only stayed in ASM and will never again stay in Disney budget hotel, tiny rooms. If we ever stay onsite again it would be at least a moderate.

I loved All Stars Music and Pop and so did my daughter. Really fun, really clean and I thought the rooms were a great size.
I would never stay in anything other than a Disney budget hotel as you're not there that much (at least we werent) and id rather have the extra money to spend while I was there!
