We're thinking of booking a 3 day cruise. Can you help me figure this out a bit? I've heard people mention different things. What is tip night? And do I tip just like normal when we eat at the restaurants? Can you order pizza to your room (and is it included)? What is the ID thing for customs? Please if you have any advice or tips they are greatly appreciated. :Pinkbounc

When people refer to "tip night" they are usually referring to the last night of your cruise when you tip your wait staff. You will receive envelopes in your room that you can use to put the tips in. You can charge them to your account or use cash. You will tip any deliveries of room service in cash separately.

I imagine you can order pizza, but you can order almost anything else as well, cheeseburgers, chicken fingers, fries, soup, cookies, cheese platters etc. This is all included in the cost of the cruise. There are certain room service items that have a charge and some of those are movie theater type snacks, sodas, alcoholic beverages. You can order breakfast items as well as late night snacks. Like I said above tip each time.

ID you need a passport or birth certificate with a valid gov't issued ID. Just a requirement to reenter the U.S. when visiting foreign ports.

Okay that makes sense (ID). Is there a place I can find out what food/drinks are not included in the price of the cruise? (So I can put it in the budget) Such as Coca Cola at the restarants etc. I have looked but I am not having much luck. Thanks so much!

Sodas in the restaurants are included in the price of the cruise. There is also a soda station on deck 9 with free sodas. I think you do still have to pay for them via room service.

Dave's site has the room service menus here.

Don't forget, alcohol is not included either. Wine at dinner, or a drink by the pool will need to be figured in. Your children may want to go to the arcade as well, and that is not included. If you want to go to the adults only Palo for dinner, you will incure a $10 per person charge.

This site also has lots of good information: http://allearsnet.com/cruise/mdcg.pdf
