We have a dedicated 2 bed at Bay Lake -next week- but now I'm thinking a separate entrance and kitchenette may be better for us (We have the two kids and don't want to bother the other adults in the villa just to go into the kitchen or leave the villa. (Am I correct, there is only one entrance from the hallway in the dedicated rooms). Originally I preferred the extra bed to the pull out sofa but now I'm not sure?

So can I ask at check in to be switched? Maybe I should call MS and hope someone is on a waiting list. Thanks so much.

I believe you have to take the dedicated unless you call MS in advance to try to change your booking category. Another member has the lockoff that you want and may not want to switch to a dedicated instead. Taking their booked room at check in wouldn't be fair, would it?

I think it is doubtful this can be done at check-in, as a lock-off removes both a one bedroom and studio from available inventory. Unless the resort is deserted, there are likely people booked separately into those units already.

The entrance door is a few feet away from the master bedroom so I seriously doubt you will bother other guests when arriving/leaving the room. We have stayed in the dedicated 2-bedroom villas at Bay Lake Tower and I feel you will really enjoy the way the room is designed. Keep your fingers crossed that they don't assign you room 8002. It's a dud! To make a long story short, this room has a poor A/C unit, the carpet is filthy in the living room, the sofa is severely stained, and the dining room table counter top is completely scratched up. :scared1: We will also be at BLT in a few days. We arrive July 4 for a week long stay.
