Thinking of a Combi Flare--Any reviews?

Ah, the great stroller question.

DH does not like the Maclarans (handles too low, cross bars in the wrong place and he kicks it). We've got a Bob at home that we **love**, but are not willing to haul on the bus, nor risk in the parks.

We had come to the decision to just go down and see how it goes and then either rent in the park or call one of the rental companies, but then I spotted the Combi. Light, smooth, doesn't look like the kid will outgrow it this week.

Any opinions? Reviews aren't perfect, but they seem to be more about wear and this would be our very secondary stroller.

I haven't tried this Combi, but Combi's handles have (in the past) always been quite a bit lower than Maclaren.

My daughter bought a Combi Flare for her 3.5 year old for our trip last September. We were all pretty happy with the stroller but none of us are very tall. 5-4, 5-6, SIL might be 5-10. Loved the way it folded up so easy, carry strap, only weighs 13 lbs. There was a little net on the back of the handles were we could put a few things. The basket under the stroller was big enough to hold 4 ponchos, an insulated lunch bag with 6 drinks. Weight limit is 55#. Paid $75 at Amazon. They will be having another child that can use the stroller too at home and the next family vacation at WDW.

They carry the Combi Flare at Babies R US; might be worth a trip to check out the stroller.

We have a Combi Cosmo and I think it's similar to the Flare, we bought it to replace our MAC triumph that was 6 years old. I liked the Combi at first - it is about the same height as the MAC so not sure if your DH would like that, but the handles are different and that might make a difference. We used to have a chico stroller and would kick that when I walked and I don't on the Combi. I'm 5'8" and my DH is 5'3" and it works well for both of us. It's really light and easy to fold up, we took it to Disney last year and it was great for the buses. But we have had ours for just under a year (we bought it to go to Disney in June) and we just had to replace the front wheels because they were about to break. After talking to their customer service (which was very nice) they told us you need to lock the front wheels before you fold the stroller. And they did send us new wheels for just the cost of shipping. But the locking and unlocking of the wheels is the part I don't like - it's kind of a pain. But ours has a drink holder and snack cup which is great - I think the flare just has the cup holder. We are going beck to Disney in March and considering buying a new MAC and using this one as our second stroller, only because of the wheel issue.

I've had a Combi and never again! I feel that it just doesn't turn well, the handles seem too low ( and I'm only 5 ft. 1 ) and the seat just seemed uncomfortable.

Also have a MAC and not too thrilled with that either. Very tippy. Although I do like the handles.

I now have a Joozy Kooper and LOVE it!! This stroller is great for infants on up. Folds up like an umbrella stroller, has a HUGE canopy, nice deep seat, cup holders for parent and baby, decent size basket. And it steers so smoothly, turns easily, etc. I got mine on Amazon for $125 shipped.
