As much as I would hate to do it, but they are just here, KWIM? Do you all think it would be better do do it in one lot or individually? It kills me cause I know I paid at least $10.50 for at least half of these pins.....why did I do that? I am no pin trader! LOL I was just deluding myself..........

I can't help you with your decision because I don't know anything about these kinds of things.
Maybe somebody can help you if I bump this up for you.

I'm not a pin trader either, but I do like to buy pins from my favorite attractions, characters, resorts I've stayed at, etc, etc... I bought one of those binders that holds them all and they have a place next to all of my photo albums.

You chould check e-Bay and see how people are selling them. You could also join some of the exchanges on this board and exchange them. By that I mean you could look for the letter P exchange and send a pin to someone or another letter that you may have a pin for (such as G for Goofy). You could decorate with them- maybe frame some for the kid's rooms?

I really don't have any good advice for you but I do check them out on ebay from time to time. They're usually sold individually but I once saw someone selling a lot of pins that was going for hundreds. Do a search on ebay of completed items (i.e. "Disney pin lot")

Have you tried posting on the Collectors' Board? They may jump at the chance! :teeth:

I just want to suggest donating them to an organization like Make a Wish if you don't want to sell your pins. I'm sure a child with a life threatening illness would love them. It could be a good tax deduction next year.

I suggest that if you are considering a donation to Make a Wish, that you also consider splitting it and sending some to the folks that run Bert's Big Adventure. They are going to WDW next week and they wouldn't be able to use the pins this year, but they certainly could use them for the kids going next year.

As for selling the pins, I think that eBay will show you results can be had for single pins, small lots, and large lots. It just depends on how well you describe the pins and the details you can give to help pump up visibility and interest. I have seen some lots go at rates through the roof and some for only $2/pin or less with some desirable LE's included. It's all in timing and salesmanship.

Good luck. Maggie

What kind of pins are they? I'm a big collector myself and I could buy some from you if you're wanting to get rid of a few.

first, you really would be better to ask on the collectors board, they are very smart and nice over there. That said.

It has been my experience in watching pins sell and buying pins, you are better off to sell most pins individual or at most in small lots. Most people will bid lower on large lots in a per pin price because the total seems higher.

you can sell them on the dis auction board, on the dizpins sale board, ebay or yahoo auctions.

Are you sure you want to sell them all, I enjoy looking at my collection. Get a bullentin board, some stiffened felt from a craft store. Cut the felt to fit in the frame of the board and you can then push you pins in to display them. Just think about why you or if you really don't want them.

You could also try trading on the pinpics website by listing the pins you have to trade and the ones you want.

just some options....hope they help
