Thinking about the Wave..somebody sell me on it...

Wasn't considering this until just recently. I just don't know. will the kids like it? dd 5 and ds 11. They're not real picky.

Well, we haven't been yet, but we have it booked for our upcoming trip. Our kids are a bit older than yours (teenagers) but I wouldn't have hesitated to take them there at 11 & 5. The menu looks great and my kids enjoy trying new things.

I'd definitely say "go for it!".

Hi we've just returned from 3 weeks in the magic with free dining which we upgraded to deluxe. We had adr's every day and ate at most of the restaurants in the world.

THE WAVE what can I say but WOW!!!!! The best meal we ate the whole trip and if we could have visited it for a 2nd time whilst there we would have.

The staff were fantastic, the meal was great. The desserts were 3 small samples so you felt like you got a little bit of everything.

Enjoy your trip and I hope you enjoy your meal there as much as we did.

Go for it! It was a great dinner. THis is what I just replied to another thread:

Our server was a little slow getting our drinks but other than that she was wonderful! I have a big PICKY eater 12 yo son. I asked if he can shoose something off of the kids menu. She said "Lets have a look at the regular menu and see what we can do for him". She suggested the beef filet without any sauce etc. She said it is a 6 ounce piece of meat which sounds small at first but it wasnt. It was 100% edible, with no waste, of delicious filet. ( I know because I ordered the same thing) My son said it was the best steak he ever ate! DH had the lamb shank which was fabulous, he ate every last morsel. DM had the fish of the day, delicious. DSF had the flank steak and this too was delish.

We are food lovers and can eat plenty. Nobody left hungry. The bread was awesome and the desserts were perfect!!!


Just a note: the night before at Wolf Gang Puck Cafe we ordered appetizers too. While delicious it was just too much food. This is why we skipped appys at The Wave.

Our party of 6 ate there in June....2 adults, 3 teens, and a 9 year old.
The 9 year old was my nephew and he is a pretty picky eater, but he enjoyed the chicken nuggets. The rest of us different cuts of beef. Everything was very good and you can get a smoothy as your beverage on the meal plan.

We all enjoyed the sampler desserts and my nephew made his own sundae (I think...or it may have been pre made...can't remember). Anyhoo...we left full, but not stuffed after dessert, so it was great. I would not hesitate to eat there again.

We drove there and I enjoyed parking in the lot and then walking over to MK after that. No time restrictions, no problems, and the lot was pretty empty. That was a nice bonus! (in fact, my kids asked to park there again when we were going to Tony's for dinner...I told them NO....LOL)

I haven't been there yet, but this is the ADR I am most looking forward to in November! My husband can't wait to try the organic beer flight and I'm going to try the wine flight. The menu looks awesome and we are totally into the sustainable and organic foods that are offered. The kids are looking forward to the chicken nachos or linguni instead of having the usual cheeseburger they get everywhere else. Since I can never choose just one, I love the way they present the desserts with three small servings.

I am also considering The Wave. For those of you who had the beef tenderloin, can you tell me what the side dishes were that came with it. I have read several menus each stating something different. One menu said it was celery root mash while another said it was boniato mash. Just curious which is right and how the side dish tasted. Also, how long of a walk is it from the MK? Thanks!
