Our anniversary trip in two weeks now includes our 6yo DS, which we really don't mind. We were going to try Biergarten, but I just kept thinking about the Garden Grill. We have eaten there 3 times and love it. We ate there our first night on my Ds's first trip (when he was 3)....I am thinking about going back again. The other two times we had other peoplewith us, so it would be our first time back as a family. Anyone else have your must-do sentimental favorites?

Guilty....................

Every Trip we have to hit.........

Whispering Canyon at the WL
Biergarten in Germany
1900 Park Fare for Breakfast
Tony's Town Square

And we tried Le Cellier on our last trip and are thinking we need to go back next week..........

I recently found myself telling my DW that we need to try some new places.......there are so many..........

Oh, yeah, and at lease one Turkey Leg per trip........gotta have it.....

Hi susy :wave2:

It's funny that you say this because I was just thinking about our trip for this summer and DH and I have decided to go to all of our old favorites, instead of trying someplace new. LOL The favorites we plan on doing are: Afternoon Tea at the GF, Kona Cafe at the Polynesian for breakfast/lunch, O'Hana at the Polynesian for dinner. We're not going into any of the parks, so we'll be eating all of our meals at the resorts, which is fine with me! :teeth:

Each trip we have a combination of repeats and new places to try. We have a couple that we go to every trip (Donald's, Sci Fi), several that we've been to before and will probably go to again (Chefs de France, San Angel Inn) and a few that we probably won't try again (Tony's comes to mind). We also try to include a couple of new restaurants to try each trip. Next trip will be 'Ohana.

We also have our must do's. They are Kona Cafe at the Poly. 1900 Park Fare for breakfast or dinner ( I love them both). We added a new one last trip that we all enjoyed which was Teppanyaki(sp?) in Japan. We will be trying something new in November: Fresh for breakfast at the Dolphin. I try to stick a couple of new ones into each trip, but I could not leave out my favorites.

We try alternating our favorites! We do have must-do's such as Cape May Cafe (but this year we're trying the Clam Bake), 50's Prime-Time, Mama Melrose's for the Fantasmic! package, Cinderella's Royal Table, California Grill, Marrakesh, Kringla og Bakeri in Norway for pastries and (large Ringnes beers!), and the Ice Cream Social at Garden Grill.

Next time we're hoping to add 1900 Park Fare and Boma or Jiko - haven't decided...Anyone want to convince me which is better?

We try to hit at least one new restaurant each trip -- all the rest are repeats!

We always go to Teppanyaki, Marrakesh, Prime Time, Akershus, Boma and Mama Melrose.

We often go to Whispering Canyon, San Angel and Le Cellier.

We've been once (need I say more?) to Ohana, Rose 'n Crown, Chef Mickey's and Sci Fi, although I anticipate eventually trying Ohana (bad service) and Rose 'n Crown (had had too big a lunch and probably ordered wrong thing) again.

We also like all the character breakfasts we've done, but since we do at most one a trip, we've not repeated any of them yet.

Most recent trip, we did Chefs de France and will probably do it again but it's not in the "always" category.

The standard for us has been LTT, but we may finally skip it this trip with so many other places we want to try. Jiko last trip became our do not miss restaurant and in just 8 short months I'll be there. :earseek:

Oh heck yes!

My problem is quickly becoming trying to pare the list of place I really want to go back to in order to include the new places I really want to try. Then when the places I want to try are great, they get added to the places I really want to go back to. It's a vicious gastronomic circle. :p

That said, I only have a couple of MUSTS: California Grill, Restaurant Marrakesh and Pecos Bill's in the MK. (I know, I know, counter service-- but it's the only place I've been to every single time I've been to WDW...)

Solotraveler:earsboy:

Our repeat list includes Trail's End at FW, Boma at AKL, CP in MK, and Donald's Breakfastosaurus. We've eaten more times at Boma (both b and d)(mydaughter even got the morning pastry chef to give her Zebra Domes for our table for breakfast) than any other restaurant in WDW.

We also love LeCellier, Ohana, and 50's Prime Time. I keep wanting to eat at Whispering Canyon, but have ended up cancelling PS on two different trips--too much eating I guess! LOL

And I'd love to get back to Bongos, Wolfgang Puck's (inside) and try any of the restaurants at the GF. It's hard to balance old favorites with new choices, I guess.

Every trip we end up at the Kona Cafe and Le Cellier. Since 2001 we added 50s Prime Time to that list. Since our last trip we'll add Sci Fi & Boma to that list. Places that we've never tried, but we would like to include: Marakkesh (me), Alfredos (DH), Yachtsman Steakhouse (we've tried 3 times and just never ended up there), Cape May Cafe (for breakfast). There is a lot I like (which is saying alot for some one with major food allergies). And I'm so happy to be able to explore for once!

We got to our favorites over and over but we do try to include some new ones. Our old favorites are Mama Melrose, Kona Cafe, Chef Mickeys(breakfast), and ESPN. On this last trip we tried a few new ones,Le Cellier, Ohana, and Beaches & Cream. We plan to go back to B&C and Ohana on our next trip, so we did find some new favorites that will be repeated. ;)

We have the same problem as you! Garden Grill is the only restaurant we've eaten at on each trip. Last year I tried to skip Garden Grill so we could try new World Showcase restaurants, but DS7 picked it as his favorite, so we went there anyway, for lunch instead of dinner. I suspect we'll be back there again next year, one way or another. It's hard to pass up as a CP package choice.

Others we've been to multiple times: Cape May, Beaches & Cream, 'Ohana, Sci-Fi, Prime Time.

We repeat our favorites to a degree that we have some trips we don't try anything new! It's terrible, and I'm sure we've missed tons over the years, but we're there once or maybe twice a year, there are things I really WANT to have. I'm trying to work more new into trips so we get better variety - it's hard though!

We do!!

We always have to eat at Donald's breakfast at Animal Kingdom.
Others we like to revisit are Cape May (for breakfast) & 1900 Park Faire (for dinner)

We return to our favorite restaurants each trip to WDW. There are still some restaruants that we want to try but never seem to make it such at Liberty Tree Tavern and O'hana's to mention couple.

We cant go to WDW without going to Chef Mickey's!
Whether WDW trip is planned months/yrs ahead or sprung on us at the last min we always need to get to Chef Mickey's

When asking DS what he most wants to do at WDW his reply is always Chef Mickey's. He enjoys that restaurant even more than any of the 4 parks attractions.

We are also creatures of habit with certain restaurants. Our "regulars" are:

Garden Grill @ Epcot (we always say we're not eating there
and always do - past 5 trips)
Whispering Canyon Cafe @ WL (love dinner there - last 4 trips)
Plaza Pavilion (Tomorrowland Terrace - I don't know why, but
we always end up for lunch here)
Chef Mickey's - we alternate between lunch and dinner every
trip

We're hoping to expand our horizons when we go next week. We're hoping to try:

O'hana's
Donald's Breakfastasaurus
Tony's Town Square
LeCellier

We'll let you know if we're successful (I just know we'll end up
at Garden Grill one day though)...

We always eat at Rose & Crown Pub and Spoodles on every trip. Rose & Crown was the first restaurant we ever ate at WDW so we always make a point of hitting it at least once on every trip. Spoodles has become our favorite restaurant at WDW.

Garden Grill and Le Cellier we always have to eat at. Have eaten at Le Cellier three times last year LOL.
