I have four nights booked at Pop, Nov 18-22. With the AP rates, I can book a Mod for $24 more per night. I think the theming of CBR would appeal to my daughter & I most. But I've heard how huge it is.:scared1: Decisions, decisions....!

CBR is a wonderful resort. Once people see the size for themselves they don't feel it is huge. You might want to take a look at the CBR FAQ thread listed below.

I was in your shoes last month. Booked at POP, debating whether to upgrade to CBR or not. We love POP, and we love POR, but I have "always" wanted to try CBR, so I did make the switch. There are so many opinions good and bad about every resort, but I just decided to go with my gut. I am a tropical kind of gal! :thumbsup2 POR is big too, but it was soooo manageable. No worries. I am traveling with DH, 7 yo DD and 5 yo DS, and we are all really looking forward to it. :yay:

I say GO FOR IT!!! :goodvibes

:surfweb: hi Renee, My family, self, wife and two kids, 7 year old son and 13 year old daughter stayed in the CBR the summer, 05 and loved it.
I loved the theme of the resort and the service was great. the grounds were very pretty and in a preferred room location, transportation was great too.

We returned to the world in 06 and stayed at the CSR only becasue my wife wanted to try something different, we would have been happy to return to the Carribean, that was my origianal vote.

Have fun

WooHoo!! I did it!! I just booked CBR online. Now I just have to call & cancel my reservation at Pop.

Congrats!party: For the price difference, you'll get a refrigerator that could really save you money in the long run. I hope you have a great time - please let us know! We're going for the first time in just a few weeks - cannot wait to experience CBR ourselves.:beach:

I think you made a good decision. I haven't been to POP and I haven't been to CBR in years now. My son and I stayed at CBR when he was 12, and the last day of our vacation, we purchased the unlimited use of bikes and boats and spent our day driving boats on the lagoon, biking around CBR, playing in the arcade, and then went to our room where we had our food stored in the fridge so that we could relax, eat and watch a Disney movie.

Of all the trips to WDW before and after, this remains his favorite day and favorite memory.

I have not gone back to CBR because I think I'd just blubber like an idiot! (I know "Get over it already!" LOL!)

He's 27 years old now and he still talks about our last day on that trip!

You must post again when you return. I'd love to know if it's any different than what I remember.

Hope you have a great time and make your own cherished memories there!:goodvibes

I am so glad you chose to change over to the CBR. I think you'll really enjoy your stay there.:hippie:

Like a previous poster said, you'll get a refrigerator at no charge. It's always nice to have a refrigerator in the room for left over desserts, colas, water, milk, etc.

The rooms are the CBR are quite a bit larger than the rooms at the Pop. Once you get all your stuff into your room, you'll be happy you've got 340 square feet. It'll also give you an excuse to buy more souveniers. More room...more souveniers!:rotfl:

You and your daughter can hang out on the beach, rent a sea raycer, explore the island and have your hair wrapped.

I think you made a great decision!

Our family also stayed at POR in the past...
However for this trip (and because I have a personal goal of staying at all the resorts at least once) we are choosing CBR.

I love the tropical theming, and I dont mind it being 'big' at all. I never understood this arguement - people walk all day in the parks and then complain about a few feet to their rooms...when they should just stop griping and enjoy the beautiful scenery which they paid for!

I agree with the previous poster that POR is also a 'big' resort, AND we stayed in a building farthest from the main buildings and it didn't bother us one bit. Oh yes and as the previous poster said....CBR has the biggest of all the mod rooms at 340 sqft. The others are 314sq ft

I spend my evenings getting my disney fix and tonight spent the time looking at CBR pics. Its such a lovely setting. I can't wait !!:woohoo:

Y'all are making me feel great about my decision!!

We have stayed at a value resort before (AS Movies) and a deluxe (WL), but this will be our first time at a Mod.

I have to change my signature!!
