Thinking about staying at Vero Beach, I have questions

We are thinking about going to Vero Beach next Oct instead of WDW and wonder if you can spend 9 days there and have fun or should we split the trip between WDW and Vero. Our DD will be 11 and our DS will be 4, we also take may parents who are still mover and shakers.

Any info would be appreciated

Hilton Head you could do 9 days... Vero you would be pushing it... A split stay.... 5 days at WDW followed by 4 at Vero (or even a 6/3 split) is the best of both worlds. Action packed then relaxed... Ahhhhhh

We have spent many times at VB and love it! But with the 2 children ages 11 and 4 I would definitely spend 4 days or so at WDW. VB is so much more relaxed and not a lot for young children to do each day. That is a good way to enjoy the best of both worlds! Plus you have the ocean to enjoy! 9 days at VB with two young children is a bit of a stretch in my opinion. When we have our granddaughter (age 8) we usually do the both and it works out well for everyone. Have fun!

I would also fall into the "split the vacation" idea. Three or four days is plenty of time to relax at Vero. Unless you're all the type of people who love to lie in the sun all day everyday you're gonna get a little fidgetty. If you're getting a little stale of WDW (and haven't visited Universal very much), you could always spend 5/6 days at Vero and spend 2/3 nights (a weekend so you avoid the high points cost of DVC) at one of the Universal hotels, making the most of their front of the line perks for USF hotel guests.

For the record, I would agree that HH offers a much better choice for a longer break.

We were just there last summer and I split our stay with the majority at WDW. The kids thought we were going to Vero for 12 days but there is no way I could had spent that much time there. We will now however start taking a regular trip to Vero because we loved it.

We could easily spend 9 days there and have. Very relaxing.
