Can someone give me the low down on this hotel? From what I have seen passing by and from the website it looks like a good choice plus the price is very comforting to my wallet.

that bad huh? LOL

My question is kind of pointless now anyway. The crew and myself have been spoiled by the on-site perks and once they got wind of the trip they demanded that we spend at least two nights at the HRH. See what you did to us Universal, I'm spoiled rotten! ;) :D

Actually, I was there in Feb 2001 and it was very nice, very clean. Comfortable rooms, wonderful front desk folk. Everything seemed plush for the price I paid.

I'd stay there again because it was SO convenient to IOA/US.

You know, the money you save staying off site could be used for a VIP tour. Nicer Perk.

if i buy a VIP TOUR do i get to meet EARL?????:bounce:

Hmmm....thanks guys!

Notatourist you gave me something to think about. I really DO want to try a VIP tour and Studio City does look nice. I'm gonna have to ponder on this one for awhile...

and ditto MiB999999's question :)

We spent a night here last July. Got it through Priceline for $30.00 ($41 after taxes and fees). It was renovated after the Sheraton took it over, I think it was a HoJo's before. The building has kind of a funny design to it. It is circular with all the rooms around the central elevator. I went looking for the ice machine and walked a full circle before realizing it.

It has a Hollywood Movies theme. Everything was clean and the staff was nice. It is close to Universal, but it is also on the high traffic International Drive. (Just don't go past Universal Blvd, you'll never make it out.)

There's a IHOP next door, a Sweet Tomatoes salad bar across the street and a 7-eleven close by.

Hope this helps, Steve:cool:
