I read somewhere that DVC points can be used on all Disney resorts BUT the all stars...so they can be used on the moderate resorts right?
If so, how many points is a night at the moderate resorts? I can't find a list of points for anything but delux resorts at Disney... :confused3

I checked my book & cannot find the Value Resorts in there, so, that pretty much means that you can't use points there.....

The Moderates are...

Value Season (standard view)- 14 (sun - thur) 25 (fri & Sat)
(Water View) - 16 29

Reg Season - Standard - 15 - 27
Water 17 - 31

Peak Season - Standard - 18 - 32
Water - 21 - 38

Holiday Season - Standard - 20 - 36
Water - 22 - 40

I happen to be one who does not think trading into ANY WDW non-DVC resorts is a good value. Your dues are based on a deluxe homeaway from home accommodation. I don't happen to want to pay those kind of dues for a moderate (or even deluxe) hotel room.

I agree with Diane. And the 14 pts it would cost you per night to stay at Port Orleans in the value season, would get you a whole studio at the Beach Club.

And why would you want to use a greater amount of points for a Fri-Sat night? You are paying the equivalent of $140 during the week, which is OK, I guess, but to pay $290 on the weekend is outrageous! No one else who is staying at that resort pays more $ on the weekends, and certainly not $290! If you want to stay at a moderate, pay cash, on AP discount, for under $100 per night, and save your points for a DVC resort, where the value is better.

I agree with Cruella. We pay cash on the weekend and use points on Sunday - Thurs (that is until we can afford more points. Coming soon  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
