Thinking about DS Best Western... questions

Has anyone stayed for EMH yet? What is the voucher and how did it work?

I know they don't provide magic bands, but if I order them to use my tickets, can it also be used for EMH, room key, and charging at a DS hotel?

If I get my hotel reservation on a different website, will I have an issue linking my reservation in order to book FP+, dining, etc?

This will be my first time staying off property, so it makes me a bit anxious in planning. I want everything to go smoothly... but I also want to save $750!

A purchased Magic Band can be used for your theme park tickets and FastPasses. As I understand it, you will still need to carry the Extra Magic Hour voucher.

None of the Disney Springs Hotels are directly connected to Disney's MyMagic+ system (which is the backend for Magic Bands). As such, you will not be able to access your guest room or change anything using your Magic Band.

Note: Some of the Disney Springs Hotels use similar technology that allows you to unlock your guest room with a Bluetooth-enabled smart phone with the appropriate app.

I know this is splitting hairs, but you'll actually be staying on Disney property at a hotel at a non-Disney hotel. Technically, the land is still owned by Disney.

The biggest factor to having a successful stay at one of the Disney Springs Hotels is to understand the transportation system. It's similar to Disney's own system in that it runs continuously throughout the day. However, it's different in that it doubles up on theme parks per bus and uses the Transportation and Ticket Center for Magic Kingdom.

Thanks! I ended up changing my mind, and we are going to Pop. The TA didn't include any of the resort fees in her quote, and it actually ends up cheaper to stay in a value, and possibly get free dining with our dates. Can't beat free dining!
