I wasn't sure where to post this question. :rolleyes1 So how much are the sombreros at Disney world? I was thinking about putting back the money to buy one.
Thank you

Depends..

The cheapie straw sombreros are about $15. The nicer felt ones are about $55..

I would love one but I'm not sure how to get it back on the plane. I'd wear it but the person sitting next to me might not appreciate it. :)

I would advise you either send the sombrero back to your resort room or buy it right before you leave the park.

:lmao: Sorry OP, but I never knew that buying a Sombrero at the Mexican pavillion was a premeditated choice. I always figured it was spur of the moment type of purchase. Thanks for the giggle.

That's great! However, I'm still holding out for a sombrero with ears. ;)

Alot of people have to budget their money and asking how much something is sounds reasonable to me, I don't think it's that laughable. I would say about 60.00 and you should have enough for one of the huge sombreros and if you have leftover money you can always buy a taco or two or three...haha:rotfl:

Good Luck to you !

I certainly understand the need to budget for a vacation, even the souveniers, but of all of the things that one could dream of bringing home from WDW, I can honestly say that I never considered a sombrero as being something that would land on my souvenier "wants list". I would never buy one there unless I had over indulged in festive adult beverages. :lmao: I have no need or use for one. I have no idea what I would even do with it, if I brought it home. So, it just struck me as really funny that anyone would consider a sombrero to be such a highly prized item that they just had to bring one home from Epcot.

[additional note: I am currently taking painkillers due to recent surgery, so lots of things strike me funny right now ;) ]

Hey they say laugher is the best medicine, hope you get to felling better and I certainly hope you take surgery better than me..geez...I could write a book ...

OP, I'm going to buy that big sombrero hat for you ( the biggest one they have ) and leave it at Epcots pick-up for you, I seen from another thread we will be there at the same time so close that change purse and look for it on that Tuesday that you are there. Have fun and enjoy ! :dance3:

And please come back and post a picture...heehee

We looked at the somberos for several years without buying one because we could not figure out how to get in on the plane home. Finally, last year a very helpful CM showed us how to temporarily roll up the sides using rubber bands. After putting it in a bag, it fit under the seat on the plane and it is now a decoration in DS's bedroom.

I assume people would wear it or hang it up in their home. I don't know why that's so funny. It is a real piece of clothing that's part of a culture. I think they are beautiful.

Yes, they can be beautiful, but sombreros can also be hilarious! This is DBF's cousin last March...

Oh don't get me wrong; I think hats are funny in general and enjoy getting goofy pics with them on. I just don't find it hilarious that someone would like to own one.
