Thinking about another Xmas in WDW?

SO I'm starting to plan what vacation we can go on this year. Over the past year we've been to Chicago, Niagara Falls, and Washington DC. The kids are getting a little older 8 & 10 so I'm thinking lets got to Mammoth Cave and do some exploring. Well to make a long story short my DD(10) seems to think everything I bring up will be boring. So I ask her where do you want to go......Disney!!!!! Now I started checking into the trip and it seems everytime we go to WDW it gets less expensive. I'm looking at Dec 14th to Dec 24th at Pop Century. With the new ticket system we are lookig at $850 for 10 day hoppers, $1000 for air, and $858 for Pop Century. Now just a few questions. What was it like temp wise this past Xmas. We were there Dec 2003 and it was just OK(no water parks) and for the experts, what will the crowds be like, when will it get crowded? The 19th or more like the 22nd.

We (DW, DD 3) were there last thanksgiving and stayed at POP. You will love it. We were in shorts and t-shirts every day, and even played in the heated pool a couple of days and never got cold. Traditionally November and December are mild (mid 60's - 70's) during the day nd then high 50's - 60's at night.

I just made our reservations for Dec 20- 23rd of this year staying at POP again. So here's hoping we have sunny sky's while we are there.

We were there Dec. 16-31, 2004. We had some very cold days where we were in long underwear under our jeans, jackets, hats & gloves. A few days had lows in the upper 30's and the high was in the lower 50's. That is cold! We did also see a few days in the 70's & 60's, too. Basically be prepared for different temps. We did not need shorts the entire trip.

I think you'll be OK with your dates. It will be crowded, but not near as crowded as the week between XMAS & New Years.
