We just went this past Sept. & stayed at the AKL & WL & it was really hot but the crowds were almost non existent. I was thinking of a late Jan. trip since the weather should be nicer. Have been in Dec but never January. How are the crowds ? What about codes what can I expect for a moderate, either AP or Fl resident ? Thinking about the French Quarter since it's not so spread out. How's the food courtyard ? Any recommendations ? Thanks everyone !!!

January was awesome!!!! We usually go in either Jan. or Sept. This year for our honeymoon we went in Sept. and i'm not sure which I like better. January is just so comfortable because the heat is not as oppressive and again the crowds are pretty much non-existant. The nights may get a bit cool where you would have to wear a sweatshirt or jacket, but the days are just gorgeous!

We stayed at the French Quarter for a night during our last Jan. trip and it was very nice. This was before the rooms were renovated and we really weren't there long enough to get a good feel for the resort but from what I saw I liked. It was compact, the foodcourt was an easy walk from our bldg. and the bldg we stayed in was right near a parking lot although our view wasn't of the parking lot.

On the whole, I would recommend the French Quarter especially if you can get a good rate. Jan. is still the off season so I think you will have great luck.

Enjoy your trip!
