Think we've gone a little Disney crazy!

Our last trip to WDW was October 08 for 6 nights at OKW. We're now saving up points in order to bring DH's extended family to DVC in June 2010 - it'll take just about all our banked, borrowed and regular points to be able to provide everyone a room comfortably. So we decided this summer - no vacation. Kids are doing camps and mission trips and most of the summer is planned. Two nights ago, DH said "why don't we see if we can find a cheap price for Disney and squeeze in a trip". I thought he was nuts - then I checked the Disney website.

Two days later - we have a cash reservation for POR where we'll squeeze into a little room for five and probably fight like crazy - but we'll be at Disney! We did the extended family thing five years ago - and while saving up points - we did a cash trip then. I believe we need our heads examined - but we were able to get a good rate for the one week that we could actually go between camps, mission trips and required meetings.

We will certainly miss our DVC this trip - but I guess we will just embrace our Disney addiction and go with it!

I would like to sympathize but I am just as nutzzzzz, We bought in at BLT last month and will be going in Dec with friends. I am now convincing DW that we can squeeze in a DVC rental in July with the inlaws!! Have you ever considered the possibilty that they put something in the water or maybe it's brain washing that they trigger with the commercials I'm jealous and hope to be there in July!

Adult DD and I spent a lovely week in an SSR studio last July and had a BLAST.
We did not do any parks and just absorbed the atmosphere. It was not too hot or too crowded and we rode much of the transportation alone! You must go!

We're scheduled to go to the THVs in Sept. But I'm really craving a short trip before that. As they say in Alice in Wonderland, "We are ALL MAD!"

We just got back from the Podcast cruise and a short stay before and after the cruise (May, 2009) and we just extended our December, 2009 stay (all our kids and grandkids are coming down) by one day and then night before last, our grown DD said that AirTran had tickets for my DH's birthday weekend and I checked with MS and they have plenty of rooms available. Now we are trying to decide if we can go or not. I agree with the water theory, must be something in it to make us start thinking of going again as soon as we get home. I don't understand, but I LOVE it also!

My DD and I visited with her BFF in Sept for free dining.
Then in March we stayed at Swan and took my niece around the parks while my sister was in convention meetings (she did stuff with us a bit each day). At that time DD and I upgraded our tickets to APs knowing that we have a family trip at Christmas (on rented points at BWV).
Just last week we decided that since the two of us have APs we could see if a trip was doable after school gets out...found a room at AP rate at CSR for next weekend and not too awful airfare, so we're going again.

I think I've lost my mind. My poor DH and DS....having to fend for themselves again at home while DD and I live it up. I'm awful.

Oh heck...just go with the addiction!! We use to budget our lives so carefully with one trip per year....then the DVC points were building up so my BFF and I would go during the winter and DH and I during September. I'm figuring out a way to get more DVC points so I can up it to three trips per year!!! LOL...oh how I love Disney!!
