They said on the news today that the police dropped the charges. Then the newscaster added "no kidding!!"

How absolutely ridiculous! If you have the time, energy, or gawl to call the police over an unpaid "mandatory" gratuity, then you need to get a life, some friends, and maybe a new job. It is such a waste of the police's time; time that could be used to do something... uhh, important?!
