I've been dieting since the day after the Super Bowl. So, about 4 weeks. I'm down 11 pounds. I have been REALLY good. Limited fats. No "dumb" carbs. So, today, the family gets a pizza for dinner. I allowed myself ONE SLICE.... now my stomach is all churning. I'm in the bathroom every 15 minutes.

The rest of the family is fine, so I think the pizza was ok.

Still, since I haven't had ANYTHING like this in 4 weeks, do you think my body is rebelling against the pizza?

It may have been the oils and the cheeses that were on the pizza. You have not had anything greasy (I am assuming) in sometime and you probably gave your system a little "shocker" with that one slice of pizza. You will be fine tomorrow. Try some Rolaids for your stomach to get it to settle down. Good Luck with the diet. You are doing wonderful but after-all we are all human and treats like pizza can be so tempting. But tomorrow is a NEW day. :thumbsup2

I have found that Pepto works better for a churning tummy. I hope you feel better soon.

I am so proud of you. You are doing great on your diet. That is so awesome.

This is natures way of making sure you stay on your diet! Hope you feel better soon!

I think it was probably the fact that you've haven't been eating greasy/fatty foods for a while. When I was on my diet, I cut a lot of processed foods out of my diet, the first time I had a craving for McDonald's, I had a similar reaction

I agree with Feralpeg! Your body wants you to keep eating right :thumbsup2

Yup...whenever I eat junk after following a healthy diet, weird things happen

Congratulations and yes, it's the cheese. I love cheese, but I follow a pretty healthy diet and pizza or anything with a lot of butter/oil - like garlic bread or fried chicken - hits me like I ate an entire package of laxatives. Then, to add insult to injury, I'm usually up a couple pounds the day after due to water weight from the salt. When we go on a trip and I know my food choices will be limited, I start adding small amount of fat to my diet the week before to avoid what DH calls, "Revenge of the garlic cheesy bread." It will be over soon. Hang in there.
