Could be worse. On top of Mt. Washington in New Hampshire it's -18 with a wind chill of -57. I suspect there might be places in northern Maine where the air temperature is -57 this morning

At my house south of Boston the current reading at 6 a.m. is -4. Guess I won't be going to the beach today.

DH and I were out this morning before 6am picking up DS12 from his school's all-night party "Midnight Madness". Our outdoor thermometer was reading -6 degrees, and that doesn't include the wind-chill factor. Brrrr..... This really is treacherous weather, a person would freeze to death in a very brief period of time.

As for us, we're dreaming of our cruise this summer.... That keeps us somewhat warm

Edited to add: What are all of us Massachusetts people doing up so early anyway??? LOL I just noticed we're ALL from MA.

7:59 am here in central CT with an outside temp of -2

My 4 dogs went outside the fastest I have EVER seen them!! Even my 2 Newfs.

Now when we had the fireplace going last night, my 1 yr old Newf went out to lay on the stone patio!! Guess it got too hot for him.

So funny to see him on his back with all 4 legs in the air ENJOYING the cold!!

I know this doesn't even compare, but it is 36 degree here. I lived in Germany for 3 years so I know what that cold weather is like, and I miss it alot, esp. the snow.

Hmmmmmmmmm....I just close my eyes and visualize stepping out on the balcony at the Dolphin last June....into the warm humid air....the toot of the Friendship boat horns.....the sun rising over Crescent Lake...........aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Good news...... my washing machine hoses are FROZEN....so no laundry today......so I sit & DIS instead.
