Things you thought would be wonderful..

Cinnabon. Every time I pass them at the mall, it smells like a little bit o' heaven. I finally got one and couldn't even finish it, it was so nasty.

pierogies, everyone said how good they are. I thought they were horrible.

You guys have never had homemade Pierogies from a real Polish old lady. :lmao: I live in a very Polish town (masses in Polish even). Anyway, they sell them after mass. And while the younger set (I'm 44) can assist, we are not allowed to know the secret recipe! :lmao:

Were they from a box or homemade? Good, homemade pierogies are the best comfort food in the world ;) I am totally biased though! :goodvibes

Dinner at 'Ohanas.....overrated, rushed, and just not that good. The dessert was good though, bananas tasted kind of off though.
:thumbsup2 (about the pierogies) Haven't had the real 'Ohana dinner as we ate there on Thanksgiving and it was turkey. :confused3

:thumbsup2 After boiling, I saute in butter and chopped onion...:cloud9:

AMEN!!! Is there any other way to make them??!! :lmao:

Seriously, good Polish food can be amazing. Those crappy pasta pockets in a box calling themselves "pierogies" make me angry! ;)

Easter is coming, that is the holy grail of Polish food time for our family!!

I gotta agree. I never knew about perogies until moving to PA. I really, really enjoy them now. :thumbsup2

Staying onsite at WDW. I fell like a rock for the song and dance on this board and ending up NOT liking it at all after 3 tries. :scared:

Dole Whips, disgusting. It's imitation ice cream, gross!

Zebra Domes, even more disgusting. Weird spongy chocolate-like cake (but the cake itself isn't sweet) covered in a waxy pathetic excuse for white chocolate. Extra gross.

The cupcakes in the case at starbucks. I wouldn't say they are nasty I mean they they still are cupcakes;) BUT they are not as good as what they look. I like the sugar sprinkes on the frosting but I guess I was expecting the frosting to taste more like the Yankee candle Buttercream smells:rotfl: and I am sure that makes no sense.

Turkey legs at WDW. I thought they looked so good and everyone seemed to be enjoying them. Then I got one and it was NASTY!

My Dad had built up wanting to try a WDW turkey leg for two years before our 11/08 trip. We would go to fairs and he wouldn't try them because he said he wanted his first one to be at WDW (because we watched a special on WDW food and how they inject the turkey legs with a saline solution that other places don't do). I had already tried a turkey leg before and couldn't stand them (greasy and gross) but I was hoping he would love them. He was so disappointed he didn't even finish it. :(

Mine would probably be Dole Whips. I was so excited to try one and when I did it just was pineapple overload (even with just the vanilla ice cream).

Sgt Mickey - YES! I tried one of the Starbuck's cupcakes two weeks ago (the vanilla one). It looked so good (wasn't cheap either) but was the most bland, tasteless cupcake I have ever eaten. Maybe that's a good thing ;)
