We were talking about hoarding in AP Psych, and it got me thinking about the things that I hold on too that are basically trash.

I keep every single movie ticket stub that I get whenever I go see a show. I have some from like 5 years ago, and I just love to see how times change.

Another girl in my class keeps shoelaces, and another keeps the boxes shoes come in.

A guy in my class keeps old violin bows that have little to no use.

So what things do you keep?

Magazines. I have kept every magazine that I get from the last six years. I also keep movie stubs, but I haven't really kept track until lately. I just found some in my old wallet. I keep a ton of things considered trash.

I am a bit of a hoarder.

Don't worry though, I don't have McDonald's cups sitting everywhere.

Magazines, Movie Stubs, Concert Tickets, Airplane Tickets, Park maps, Fortunes from Fortune Cookies.

My grandma is a hoarder. She loves to shop and never throw a thing away. We have boxes and boxes, both empty and full, from her that just contain useless junk that she won't part with.

im another one for magazines. but they are useful when i need pictures of stuff.

i also have many old birthday and christmas cards. i found one from my 10th birthday the other day. im 19.

I like keeping park maps, though I don't have as many as I used to. My mom got rid of a lot so I had to restart my collection. I think it's cool to see how the parks change over time.

I have a few movie tickets, maybe 3, but I really have no use for them. I keep my theater tickets, but I don't consider those trash.

We always keep our cards people give us and put them in a box.
I have assignments and worksheets that I did in school from Freshman year, up. I feel like I might need them someday. I actually used one worksheet to help me with a project this year, but really I probably do not need them. I just keep the test study guides and the things that give me a lot of information on one page.

I had thrown away most of my grade school papers, assignment sheets, schedules etc. Then came 30'th reunion and I wanted to bring some items for classmates to reminisce over. Fortunately I found a few items.

magazines. I re-read them like, a year later and its like a brand new magazine! :P

Specifically, TIME magazines. I have every issue for the past 3 years so... ~200 issues?

I was keeping all of my assignments from high school too...thinking I might need them for something, ya never know  I finally got rid of some of the papers I had from junior year because I just had them in a drawer and that was the year I met my ex boyfriend and didn't want to remember that time :lmao:

I still have most of the assignments from my english class sophomore year and most of my senior year stuff.

I'm a hoarder. I save the randomest things, just because I feel like I'm going to "need" them later. There's nothing in particular that I save, but mostly magazines, ticket stubs, tags from clothes, etc. I attatch sentimental value to things, lol. And then when spring cleaning comes i get so frustrated and just chuck everything away!

Ticket stubs, magazines, fortunes, buttons (like Disney birthday buttons), clothes that don't really fit, lots of other random things.

I dont throw away anything that belonged to my grandfather, old Disney stuff etc.
I have a stuffed Donald that i got for my first birthday still on my bed. I sleep with him and a Stitch i got when i had surgery a few years ago. :rotfl: i love my stuffed animals there like my security blanket:goodvibes

I save tags from things too! I have tags I cut from clothes I bought in NYC, tags from things at Disney. It is the exact same thing, I attach sentimental value to things that shouldn't have sentimental value.

i'm pretty good when it comes to tossing stuff, i recently got rid of like 3/4 of my wardrobe! (my sister on the other hand has clothes from like 7 yrs ago that dont fit her!) but i do tend to keep silly little things that have sentimental value, notes, cards, tickets that sort of thing. but i toss a lot of stuff that i know i don't need.

i do have a keepsake box from when i was much younger that is full of movie ticket stubs, flyers from local punk shows i went to, harry potter stickers, love notes & programs from various school events -- i wouldn't want to throw those out, it's fun to look at them (i have a ticket stub from the movie bringing down the house which was in like 2003!!! haha)

im kind of upset that i threw out one of my old diaries though, at the time i didnt want it because i was trying to 'start a new chapter' in my life and i didnt want to bring that stuff with me, but now i'd be interested to remember all the stuff that happened!!

My sisters highschool musical DVDs they reall are garbage.

I all ways manage to keep broken headphones to.
