Things you just can't go "generic" on!

I had this conversation with my friends before, and I thought it would make for an interesting thread. What things do you have to buy name brand, you just can't get away with "off brand" or "generic" because it just isn't as good?

My vote is for Kraft Mac & Cheese. I just cannot eat any other kind than Kraft! Nobody makes boxed Mac & Cheese as good as they do!

Do you have anthing that you just have to buy name brand?

you should try trader joes organic mac and cheese shells -yum!!!!!

Grape jelly (I learned this the hard way this weekend when I made grape jelly sauce for my meatballs)

Laundry soap
Bread
Sliced cheese

I must have JIF Peanut Butter, nothing else will do. Other than that I am pretty flexible and usually buy whatever is cheapest.

TP, soda, mac and cheese, hygeine products, ketchup. Those are the only ones I can think of right now.

Call me snob but I can't do anything generic. I've tried over the years and have always been disappointed in the taste, quality, etc. DH on the other hand seems to thrive on anything in a plain white wrapper/box/can with black writting. More power to him. And when he buys it, its all his.
