Things you didn't do and regreted

Will never eat at the Luao in Poly or HOOP de DOO again (did both when was about 12 and no big deal)

Didn't care for Brown Derby too much either.

Most special thing was the extra hours that used to go on in just the MK. My DH and I sat in front of the castle, just watching it change colors for about an hour it seems. Maybe 10 other people around us. The atmosphere was, "hushed"

Looking forward to trying new resorts and restaurants this trip.

Quote Frank Sinatra:

Regrets, I’ve had a few;
But then again, too few to mention.
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption.

I planned each charted course;
Each careful step along the byway,
But more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

Yes, there were times, I’m sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew.
But through it all, when there was doubt,
I ate it up and spit it out.
I faced it all and I stood tall;
And did it my way.
/end quote/

Hymn for trip planners everywhere?

On my last trip out there, there was a couple of things that I didn't have time to do. I wanted to do Spaceship Earth and watch the fireworks at both MK and EPCOT.

The one thing that I have always wanted to do is to go to DisneyQuest. Never had enough extra time or money.

Personal biggest regret is never doing one of the tours. DH isn't into it...DD12&DD14 too young. I'm not really wanting to go it alone. :earsgirl:
Only other big 'regret' is probably spoiling ourselves with long (15 day trips). DH and I are going for 5 days beginning of November and it is so odd to not do a lot of planning! This will be our very first 'short' trip to WDW. Actually DH is kind of trying to make it longer...he told me tonight that he thinks we can pull an all nighter on our last night! Yeah, right! :rotfl2: Especially not after food and wine festival for 4 days! :teeth:

We've regretted:

- Taking our kids to Chef Mickey's to celebrate their 6th birthday at 8pm on a Saturday night. If I posted how long we waited here despite a PS or how bad the service was, nobody would believe it.

- Taking the upgrade at the Contemporary to a garden room in the South Wing overlooking the canal between Bay Lake and SSL (too quiet over there, LOL). We probably would have enjoyed our stay more had we stuck with the standard room in the North Wing overlooking the parking lot (and monorail, fireworks, etc...).

- Arguing for an entire day on the phone with anyone I could when they called to tell us they had to change our Contemporary Tower booking - to a Lagoon View Concierge Room at the Poly for our inconvenience. We didn't think we'd like it. :rotfl:

- Forgetting to see Turtle Talk With Crush this past January when it opened. It's closed next week so we'll miss it again. :(

- It's not a regret but we chose to go home after our cruise instead of returning to WDW because of Hurricane Frances. We knew it was the right thing but it was so hard to leave when we had three more days scheduled.

Little regrets that I will get over someday....  maybe... :goodvibes

Not insisting we try to see the Osborne Lights the day after Christmas, because I thought the park was closed. We spent two hours in CM for dinner and napkin waving. Everybody was tried and I wanted to go see the lights!! Should have gone, even all by myself.

Was in the Land after dinner with family at the Garden Grill. Should have taken the time to see Crush. But they wanted me back to the room so I could watch the little kids, as I had promised my adult kids and their spouses a PI and DQ night. They had a ball. I figured I'd see Crush in October. Hmmm. No. :sad2:

Didn't do the CP like I had wanted to. :sad2::sad2::sad2:

11 days at the Poly GVC and we just flat out ran out of time..... :rolleyes1

It was my girls birthday and they were spending it at MK. When it was near time for our very special reservation at Cinderella's gala at the GF they did not want to leave MK. I gave in and called to cancel our resses which broke my heart because a. I'm a princess lover b. those resses are hard to get and someone was unable to get them because we had them and then cancelled at such late notice. c. They will only be so young and impressionable just once and I think I missed an oppurtunity to see them in that light. :guilty: It was their birthday so their choice, however I do secretly believe that their B-day would have been even more magical if we would've gone to the dinner. princess:

We didn't see Wishes on our last trip (thus we haven't seen it yet). We had been spoiled by uncrowded parks during our trip. But, the day we went to MK was too "crowded" for my DH and he started getting moody and annoyed. He was nice about it though. He said he was fine with staying if I wanted too. But I knew that the only way he could deal with the crowds and still be happy was to put some beer in him. Not possible in the MK. So....we left early and fled to Epcot. I figured that I'd rather have a happy camper on my hands then to wait around another couple of hours for Wishes. I kinda wish we had stayed now though. Oh, well, I'll definitely see it in 14 months!

Well there are a few things I really regret and it makes me ready to go back all the more now! lol We did not go swimming at the hotel..well dh went out one night at like 1am for a 10 minute swim but came back b/c he was lonely..lol We did not do hardly any rides b/c we were so into taking pics, finding characters for ds, just taking it all in, walking around, eating, pin trading non stop, checking out each and every store, etc.. So the only rides we did were Soarin, Test Track, BTMR (me), Splash Mtn(dh), Barnstormer(dh and ds), Kali River Rapids (dh and ds), safari ride, Haunted Mansion and that was about it. I had so badly wanted to do Small World, Space Mtn, Dumbo, TOT, RNR, etc... Then again I would not want to take back anything we did so we know we just need more time next trip. We hope we can go for aboit 9 days next time. :Pinkbounc

We never saw Spectromagic (despite having MANY opportunities)
We never saw the Share a Dream Come true Parade.
I would spend more time at the water parks and Disney Quest
More time at the ocean.

hi
i regret not watching hallowishes properly (i was too busy trying to take photographs). i did however get round to trying stuffed pretzels, the creamcheese and peppers and the apple cinnamon were delicious! :)

Two years in a row and I didn't ride space mountain. My daughter didn't want to go on with me and I didn't want to do it without her. But next year I'm definitely going on. Didn't eat at Brown Derby again. This place was great.

I wish I didn't spend 1 hour waiting for that HORRIBLE Stitch ride. What a waste of space. That is one hour of my life I will never get back.

I regret never having eaten at Le Cellier in Canada or seeing the o'Canada exhibit, we always seemed to run out of time before we got ther, the kids love Mexico(the ride, the food, the indoor market) . On our last visit we couldn't get reservations for le Cellier for the full 2 weeks of our trip, and O'Canada wasn't running, so this time we will start the world showcase in Canada !

My regrets ...

sitting on a rock (cos DD was asleep) whilst my family went on twenty thousand leagues, thinking I would go on it next time (it was 1993) :(

Not video taping Tapestry of Nations at Epcot (thinking it would be a permanent parade :()

Not asking someone else other than the person sat next to me to send a taped copy of the Christmas special with Belle on ABC (we were in 'the audience) as the lady never came through and being from England we never got to see it :(

This last trip was very long, so we did just about everything we wanted. I wish I had known more about Rafki's Plant Watch. We didn't go and now from the Dis boards it seems like something my family would have enjoyed.

On my first trip in 2001, I regretted not going to AK - believing all the negative publicity and opting out of the park. Now it's my second favorite, behind Epcot.

My biggest regret, that I've managed to correct, is not taking the time to really enjoy the atmosphere and enjoy the little things that make Disney special.

Things we haven't done and regret---Hall of Presidents
Seeing ALL of World Showcase

Things we did and could have done without----Rafaki's Planet Watch and
Conservation Station

Wish we hadn't:

Most of FUTURE WORLD, and the thankfully deceased FOOD ROCKS ( :crazy2: :crazy2: :crazy2: ).

Ok...yes...we saw Food Rocks......but my kids wanted to go, I had no choice.....really.

may not really fit with what you are looking for but my biggest regret every trip is HAVE TO LEAVE WDW.

I really have no regrets. A couple of disappointments though. I wouldn't do Astro Orbitor. We did Jungle cruise at night and had a very bad guide. And the very high humidity the end of Aug /first of Sept. The heat was no different than at home, but the humidity was almost unbearable.

I planned on being at the parks all day. but we saw most everything we wanted by noon so after lunch went back to our room for a swim/shower and fresh clothes(which we despirately needed due to humidity), which worked very well for us.

A couple things I would do a little different. 1. I would not go in the summer. 2. Spend more time in DTD( I just took the kids to DisneyQuest after dinner)

Since I go with the flow(even thogh the flow was a little more planned that our usual vacations) I guess my expectations weren't that high so we really enjoyed ourselves.
