Things to enjoy on your stay.

Ani’s Sweet Bread is another item. Cheapest on the island is at Costco going around low $7 last week. Forget King’s Hawaiian Rolls. This is the one we love! Dip this in your stew, curry, chili, etc. with butter… 1E6DE57A-5636-4A33-A3C9-3C8E5DEE727A.jpeg

once i get on the plane…… nothing

i dont go on vacation to grocery shop…. Or cook

You have to try the Hawaiian Chip Factory-Sweet Potato & Taro Chips at Costco. We always buy these when we visit.
Great call on this one! It'd be great if you can make it to the factory in Honolulu (smart to combine if you're heading to Waikiki or checking out the Aloha Stadium Swap Meet) where you can get a fresh made bag (smaller than this of course) for $5, unless it went up.

If your making a trip to Costco in Kapolei, may I recommend you make a trip to Foodland Farms (about a 3-5 minute drive) to get your Poke fix! Costco sells some but it's nowhere as desirable as Foodland plus, you can make it into a Poke Bowl. I know some members shared they went to Target and it's understandable as it's a place that you shop at in the mainland, but Foodland is highly preferred over both Target and Safeway.E825C0E7-53A7-42AF-BC37-99EF1A3967E1_1_201_a-e1595352235231.jpeg20846900000.jpg

Chun Wah Kam is a must visit if you're galavanting out and about and it's conveniently located near Kapolei (Costco & Foodland Farms). The plate is full to the brim! The Ginger Fried Rice is recommended! This is a local infused Chinese Plate Lunch area that is very popular with locals. Especially the Manapua (Steamed and Baked, get both) and Pork Hash. You probably want to try the Gau Gee (Fried Pork Dumpling). Lot's of locals take this on their flights to either eat or take for family! 39447927_bSZ4nzdtvyGcCMAQSiIZFhZTGZjQu2yDgwNQ5pAOf9U.jpgcwk_front.jpgchunwahkam_set.jpg

Get your Hawaiian Chocolate fix at Costco! No where else!
Everything and anything you want to take back for yourself or for Ohana you go to Costco for! The Caramel Chocolates, Macadamia Nut Chocolates, Cookies (Made in Hawaii), this is your best spot! If you must take the box that it comes with by all means! It just takes up more space in your luggage if so. Even if you want to try some for yourself on your trip, you buy it from here! Do not go to the ABC Stores or even on property as you will pay the ridiculous mark-up prices! This is cheaper than Walmart (of course because of the Bulk). IMG_0857.jpgIMG_0865.jpg

Spam Musubi!
Ok this one you'll laugh at but trust me on this. 7-11! Unless you can make it yourself, this is the best place to get this from! 2940284860_05ed60ab17_b.jpgspam cu delux b.jpg

Eh, everyone is different. I don't go on vacation TO buy groceries or cook specifically, but I appreciate some home cooked meals even when on vacation. I have no interest in paying $100+ for breakfast for my family of 5 when we can make breakfast in our room for $10 or less.
This one was an easy get at Costco for about $1 ea. Or...you can go to the Ulu Cafe and get a platter for $20 (they do give a lot though).
