We are breaking out our shovels, pail & sand castle supplies that I got on sale at the end of summer.

Any other great ideas to keep a 4 yr old & an 6 yr old girl happy this weekend?

PS My asthma may limit my time outside with them :guilty:

Bake cookies and have some hot chocolate.
Have a family movie night.

Just waiting for them to cool!

I'm gonna dig up some movies from the car that the girls haven't seen for a while :thumbsup2

We always play board games by the fireplace especially if we lose power!
Toast marshmallows by the fire if you have one.

I used to buy some food coloring and make different colors with water in spray bottles. DS and his friends used to decorate the snow out in the backyard for hours. It's really fun for kids and pretty to look at, you would be surprised at the ideas they can come up with using those colors!

You could always get some crafty paper and sequence to make heart shaped valentines cards.

Have FUN! I wish my DS was little again I love doing that kind of stuff

My DSs are busy teenagers now, but I remember playing countless board games during snowdays, especially UNO. Gosh, I was so sick of that game by the end of the day. Now, I would give anything for them to want to sit down with me for the day and play UNO!! :)
