things to do Oxford

Our eldest DS is doing a placement before starting his last year at uni.the firm he has got one with is in Oxford (called Sophos)
Were going down to look at rooms with him in a couple of weeks. then we will be visiting on the odd occasion.
Anyone have any good ideas for thing to do in the area

How about Henley on Thames, very pretty and nice pub by the bridge over the river. Or you could go to Windsor although Oxford itself is meant to be nice. Back off to Oxfordshire myself this week for work related stay.

If you're travelling on the M40 then Biscester Outlet Shopping Village is only 2 miles out of your way. (But about 20 minutes from Oxford itself.)

From what I remember there's plenty to do in Oxford itself. How about getting guide book or seeing if tourist info do walking/college tours?

ETA Blenheim Palace isn't too far away.
