Good Morning Dissers:goodvibes

I'm after picking your brains. We return to FLA for the 6th time in August. This time we'd like to do something different. Any ideas:confused3

We did Boggy Creek:thumbsup2, Cypress Gardens and the Titanic Experience last time but wondered if there was anything off the beaten track thats well worth a visit.

Ta.....xx:)

We all ( 2 adults, DD10, DS7 and DD6) enjoyed our visit to Kenndy Space Centre :)

We enjoy the Scenic Boat Tour at Winter Park and Winter Park itself is also well worth a visit - a really pretty town with some lovely boutique shops and fabulous restaurants, as well as museums and galleries.

A place which really appeals, but which we've yet to make it to is the Historic Bok Sanctuary in Lake Wales.

If you like cars or bikes I would thoroughly recommend Old Town on the 192.
Thursday is Bike Night and Friday and Saturdays are Car Nights.
But there is so much more to do as it has lots of quirky little shops, a photo studio where you can dress up in all sorts of american style costumes, funfair type rides at either end - and it is also the home of the SkyCoaster :thumbsup2

Here's a couple of pics to hopefully show a little of what its like.

Another vote for Little Toot.

We did this on one of our trips and the unique way that the engine cuts through the water is what attracts the dolphins more than some of the other boats in that area. We got some fantastic footage of them following us and jumping through the wake - some of which is on our 2005 video in my sig :cool1:

We did Silver Springs last year. Was a bit apprehensive about the drive up but it only took us 1hr 15min and DH loves driving over there. The park itself is a lovely get away from all the hustle and bustle of Disney and its amazing what and how far you can see underwater in their glass bottom boats.
Also went to Clearwater for the day , beach was lovely and saw the dolphins in the sea. Before going home we went to see "Winter" the dolphin in the Marine Aquarium there.

Thank you everyone, all your suggestions sound great :thumbsup2 I'll definately add them to our itenarary. How far is Clearwater (time wise in a car)? Kids would really like to do this.

Thanks UKDeb for the photos of Old Town they look really good and the black & white ones are fab. Reminds me of the photographers in Whitby that do a similar thing.

We very much enjoyed the Kennedy Space Center - it's at least a full day.
we got there at opening and stayed until closing. So much to see and do.

We also enjoyed Discovery Cove. We spent about half a day there.

There's a cute little place on I-drive that we went to for a couple of hours in the afternoon/early evening. I can't remember what it's called.
It's sort of a science kind of place. It looks like an upside down building.
I can't remember the name. Wonder World? God i'm senile.
Anyway, the kids really enjoyed it. But that's more of a thing to do for an hour or two.

There are many excursions you can take too - we are going to Homosassa state wildlife park this time - on the gulf coast. Hope it will be good....

We have been to Kennedy - great time!! You can touch the moon! (well a little bit of it!)
Also the beach - went to Cocoa beach. See the Atlantic from the other side May try some Gulf coast ones this time.

There's i-drive with the Ripleys believe it or not, FAO Schwartz toy store, all the malls, mini golf, Gatorland, We never fit everything in that we want to do....

We always have to take a trip to Celebration, and have a wander round the lake, take a peak in the shops and have bite to eat in The Market Street Cafe.
