Things to do on a rainy day at IOA

We're heading to IOA this weekend and the forecast calls for rain. What are some good things to do at IOA during a thunderstorm?

Places to hang out during a rainstorm:

1. Mythos for lunch.
2. Jurrasic Park Discovery Center.
3. Sindbad Show - covered theater.
4. Poseidon's Fury - indoor attraction.
5. The shops at Port Of Entry.

Donn't forget Spidey,the ques are coverd and alot of inside weighting if you donn't have FOTL..

Almost all the lines are coverd,except the coasters,they shut them down when lightning is within 5-10miles...

Not to worry get there early,cuase most of the bad storms donn't hit Orlando till afternoon times....

Spider-Man, Cat in the Hat, Storm Force.

And if the lightning isn't interfering with park operation, ride the water rides! You're supposed to get wet on them

I left most of the rides off because most of them exit to the outside, although Spiderman does exit into the gift shop, as does Cat in the Hat.

very little wait in any line.

We went to IOA during a horrendous storm - not just rain but pouring rain, thunder, lightning, etc. We did Spiderman, then went over to DD. I hung out in the Enchanted Oak while the kids rode DD over and over. (sniff sniff) No more hanging out in Enchanted Oak since it's been demolished though. Then we jumped from store to store in Suess back up to the Port of Entry and hung out in the big gift shop near the exit.

Just to clarify, all rides can operate in rain. When lightning shows up, the outdoor rides close for safety. This includes

Incredible Hulk
Doctor Doom
Ripsaw Falls
Bluto's Barges
JP River Adventure
Pteranadon Flyers
Dueling Dragons
Sky Trolley
One Fish Two Fish

In the Studios, just the Kidzone Area and Jaws close in lightning.
