Things to do in Huntington/Newport Beach

Hi all,

We are leaving tomorrow for a quick trip down to Newport Beach with our two girls, ages 9 and 3. We plan to mostly hang out at the pools and beach. We're also going to rent a Surrey four-wheel bicycle. Anything else notable we should do during our time there? Restaurant recs?

We are doing a two hour whale watching tour out if Newport crazy cheap on groupon

If you don't want to do whale watching, or go out on the boat for 2 hours, there is a 45 minute harbor cruise. It alternates between what they call a house tour and a sea lion tour. We have done both, and prefer the sea lion tour-- you actually do see some houses on that one, and you also get to go out and see some sea lions.

Check out the tide pools at Corona Del Mar. About a 15 minute drive from Newport.
