Hello All!

We live in S.C. and we're taking a last minute trip to Disney's HHI. It's not WDW (parks) but it'll do for a last minute get-away. :lmao: I'm just so excited to just get out of the area code for awhile.

My question, what are some fun things that you do at the resort or around the Island? What is there to do? Does the resort offer activities? Is there a charge? We are doing this trip on the cheap so we're getting a two bedroom (all they had available last minute so we're bringing a friend :goodvibes ) so that we can cook all meals in the room and be able to watch movies and such in the living room.

Any other ideas?

Thanks so much for your help!

Hi. We went to HHI in June of 2006 and Sept 2008. I love it there. It's very relaxing! If you like to bike, take yours along, or rent them there. They have a great bike trail to ride over to the beach house, which is really nice. You can ride all over the island. If you like to kayak, if you don't have one, you can rent them off Disney's property. Took a ride out to the lighthouse- great for shopping or restaurants. We had dinner one night at a restaurant just over the bridge on the left- I can't remember the name - but the food was good. We had a great time. Enjoy your trip!!

We live on the SC coast and can do alot of the activities at home but my kids like doing them better at HHI!!
Mine love to fish and crab and go back and forth from the pier to the pool all day. We have our own poles and crab traps so that will save you some $$ if you want to do that and have your owm.
There are a lot of great activities - some are for a fee and some are free. They will give the list of activities for the week when you check in.

Sorry - my computer went haywire in the middle of my post!

Anyway, around the resort there are also horseshoe pits, a basketball half court, a pool table in Big Murgies Den ( where you check in), pingpong and foosball tables by the pool and a shuffleboard court also by the pool.

At the beach house, there is a basketball hoop and volleyball net in the pool which my kids love! There are also board games that you can check out, and of course, the beach is great!

There is a pirate themed mini golf course just a short drive down the street which is a must do for us. And restaurants and shops are just across the little bridge in Shelter Cove which we walk to. I don't think there are fireworks til summer.
Hope you have a great trip! :)
