Things to do for a birthday.

Just to be clear, the Wide World of Sports is a whole sports venue over on Victory Way. (There is a cafe that operates there when events are going, like Braves games and other larger events.) You could check that website to see what events are going; you might see something you'd enjoy. The ESPN Club (or is this one a Zone?) is a restaurant on the boardwalk with tons of TVs showing whatever sporting events ESPN happens to be televising right now.

Thank you...yes...I realized that the Wide world of sports was actually a sports venue...but didn't realize that there was an actual ESPN restaurant on site.

Thats why I didn't realize we could do anything related to sports. I did check the event schedule at WWOS and unfortunately we just miss spring training for the braves. Nothing else really going on.

With that said...I vaguely remember the last time at WDW there were signs for Disney boardwalk...that is where I want to head to correct?

There is a small arcade right next to Beaches & Cream. I think they are taking ADRs there now. I saw it pop up on my list while looking for something else and being surprised it was there. The Contemporary has a great spot to watch the fireworks from. I believe is on the 3rd floor, the same level as Chef Mickey. There is a balcony that faces Magic Kingdom and they pipe in the music too. You can also take a ride on the monorail for free too.

Have you looked at the Chip & Dale campfire? It is free for everyone. We went last year while staying off-site.

Thank you for the info on the contemporary....My youngest really wanted to do Chef mickey...but I couldn't get an ADR so I was thinking about riding the monorail over to the Contemporary and doing a counter service lunch or dinner. The fireworks makes the deal a little sweeter! Thanks!

I didn't look at the campfire...oldest probably wouldn't love it. He is a sports nut motor head...so kinda trying to do something geared a little more at him since it is his bday.
