Things to do besides the parks??

We are looking for any ideas on what else we could do besides the parks. We did Disney lasy year, so we are going to go to Universal/IOA. We are flying there and renting a car, so we don't mind having to drive a bit to get somewhere. We have plans to go to Daytona for the SUpercross race and Superbike race on the 10th & 11th. Are there any zoos around or other exciting things around that doesn't cost an arm and a leg? We stayed 5 nights last spring and found something to do everyday, but I want to be able to see the ocean. We stopped in Daytona last year on our drive home, but because of Bike week, that is out of the question. I was thinking Cape Canaveral or Melbourne....any ideas????????

A lot of people like Gatorland- that might be worth checking out.

Also there are a lot of dinner shows (Outta Control Magic Show, Pirate Dinner Show, Medieval Times, Dixie Stampede) to name a few- these can be a great way to spend an evening.

We also have done Jet Skiing at Lake Buena Vista Watersports and we've done a helicopter ride over the Orlando and the Epcot and DTD- I have great ariel photo's from this.

You could possibly go the opposite way to go to the ocean and check out the gulf side.
