Things to do before you go list??

Ok, I have done several searches on the boards for posts that include info on a list of things to do before you go. You know make your PS, DDE card, tickets, of course, room.

I thought I saw a post awhile back but can't find a place to make my job easier (you know ~ use the wisdom and experience of other disboard members who I know have compiled a to do-type list) Not a packing list, I just don't want to forget anything and we are under a month

I guess with a month to go, you have your PS, room and tickets done.

With a month to go, here is what I am working on:

Doublechecking packing list to confirm if I need to purchase anything else.
Get mail stopped for the week we are gone.
Notify neighbors so they can watch the house.
Arrange "kitty vacation" for my two cats.
Confirm everything at work is ready for me to be gone.
Postcard list and lables printed.
Itinerary with phone numbers to key family members.
Confirm ME and airline info.
Purchase travelers checks.
Set and use timer (two weeks before) as it will be on lamps for vacation.
Request backup prescriptions from Doctor.
Clean out fridge (hate weird smells when I get back)
Make list of appliances that must be unpluged while we are gone.

I am sure I have missed something...but that is what I am working on.

I know I saw a list on allearsnet.com before. You can check that out as well

Not sure how far you are from the trip but I found and have used this http://www.magictrips.com/plan/timeline.shtml It seems it may be slightly dated but the general ideas are still applicable.
