I don't have a list but perhaps I should - do you find yourself striving to achieve these or wait and just see 'if it happens'
Kaylee, this is just a pipe-dream, but we all need dreams. I'll never achieve even half of these, especially as I've got 2 daughters and a wife who love to shop.. So what have I achieved ? So from the 79 things to do I've done these;
Swim with dolphins. I watched my girls do this at Discovery Cove earlier this year and really felt that I'd missed out. I didn't go because I can't swim, which is why I've got learning to swim as one of my dreams.
Walk my daughters up the aisle. They're only 8 and 12 at the moment.
See Orang-utans in the wild. Hopefully we'll get to Borneo in the next couple of years.
Walk with elephants. I've ridden elephants in Thailand, so now I want to see them in the wild.
Make my daughters find one of my jokes funny. Not much chance there. Dad's are never funny to their kids.
See my daughters graduate. As Hannah's in the top 5% of her year it's a possibility. We'll just have to wait and see.
Be a better father. Too hard to measure really.
Be married for 50 years. 16 years on September 24th, so still a away to go.
Be the most wonderful man in the world to my wife. Too hard to measure.
Build my own house. Done this one !
Ride on a Harley. Better go pinion.
Have my head shaved. I keep threatening the kids with this one. Maybe one day.
Record my whole vinyl collection. Seeing as it'd take weeks just to listen to it, there's not much chance.
Learn patience. The older i get the better I get.
Climb the Eiffel Tower. Done this one !
Dress up as a penguin. Thought I'd throw that one in to see if anybody would notice.
Dye my hair green. Done this one too, well sort of. Earlier this year my daughter and I had our hair cut at the Disnet barbershop. She got pink highlights and I got green !
Eat insects. Hoping to try this next year in Vietnam.
Find myself. This is one of the most frightening ones. I might not like what I find.
Catalogue my photo collection. Started this one on Saturday. Boy have we got a lot.
Get a massage at Wat Po. Hopefully I#ll get this done when we visit Thailand again next year.
Go skinny-dipping. You wouldn't want to see this, but yes I have done it.
Fall in love. Luckily I've found and married the most wonderful girl.
Kiss the Blarney Stone. Done this one.
Learn a foreign language. Well I've got schoolboy French, but that needs a lot of brushing up.
Ride an elephant. Did that in Thailand.
Visit 100 countries. So far I've got France, Spain, Belgium, Holland, Scotland, Wales, Eire, Italy, Germany, Bahrain, Dubai, Qatar, Singapore, Indonesia, Bali (I know it's part of Indonesia, but I'm claiming it as a seperate country here), Hong Kong, USA and Thailand. That's 18, so only 82 to go.
