its really romantic. they fly way up in the air, and pick a mate, then they lock their talons and fall, waiting for the other eagle to save them. if the other eagle isn't strong enough, they fall and die. bald eagles have been found smashed against rocks, still clutching each other. they die for love. ever since i've heard about that, i've wanted to see them.
