My husband and I are staying at VGF for the 1st time, and I will be halfway through my pregnancy when we stay. We aren't really focusing on the parks this time around because being pregnant has been exhausting.

What are the must eat at restaurants at the Grand Floridian or at any of the resorts on the monorail? What are some cool things to do in this prime location?

I am also trying to figure out if the location is really worth the points. We have never stayed at a resort off the monorail system before, and I am interested in being able to hop around to other resorts.

Narcoossee's is very good for dinner. You might try Grand Floridian Café for breakfast or lunch. Or the counter service.

Would you be able to visit the spa, maybe a pedicure and/or manicure, facial? They have a pregnancy massage. Here's a link to their services. https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/spas/grand-floridian-resort-and-spa/senses-spa/

You could visit Wilderness Lodge via boat or monorail to the MK then transfer to a boat to Wilderness Lodge (and even Fort Wilderness) and rent a boat. Take the monorail to Contemporary to rent a boat. Walk or Monorail to the Polynesian and rent a boat, shop, dine.

We own at GF and have two kids, but when it first opened my husband and I stayed in a studio (just the two of us) for three nights did no parks. We had dinner at Citricos, California Grill and Ohana. I would skip Ohana if its just the two of you and instead recommend taking the boat one night to Artist Point at WL. You can even time the boat return when the fireworks are going off. I visited the spa at GF--beautiful and I highly recommend. You can also take the bus to Disney Springs and shop for the morning/evening when its not too hot.

You CAN walk to the Poly from the GF and get Dole Whips and then take the monorail back to the GF if you are too tired to walk.

Maybe a dinner at Victoria and Alberts??? I wish we would have done that on our solo trip!!!

Watch the fireworks from TOTWL at Bay Lake Tower one night.

Sit by the quiet pool and read a book. The sound of the fountains at the quiet pool is very relaxing:)

GF is definitely worth the points--especially if it is just the 2 of you.

You can rent a boat at the Grand Floridian. You can take the boat to view Poly, Contemporary, and Wilderness Lodge (but you cannot dock your boat there). And the DVC discount (15%) applies.
We rented a pontoon boat last trip.

At about 3:45 PM (may vary) there is the "Princess Parade". The young guests will put on their princess costumes and parade around the lobby led by Cinderella and Prince Charming.

Dine at Narcoosies and then after the meal, go to the porch to watch the fireworks at Magic Kingdom, with music coming over the speakers.

VGF is our favorite resort. We never run out of things to do there. (And if we do, we hop on the monorail and go to Magic Kingdom.)

One can also enjoy tea at the Garden View Tea Room.

There is a "Perfectly Princess Tea Party" hosted by Princess Aurora that is also held in the tea room. At the princess party the little princesses get all dressed up and use their best skills in the art of grace and decorum. Delightful to watch for a bit whilst strolling the lobby.

You can ride the monorail doing a dine around the resorts, Appetizer at one, entree at another, dessert at a third and before or after dinner virgin cocktail at a fourth because you can include WL as a dining option because you can take the ferry from either the MK stop on the monorail or CR stop to WL. Or you can include TOTWL as an option for dessert or after cocktail (virgin) and then watch the fireworks.

As to favorite places to dine, we like Narcoosees at GF. Kona Cafe at the Poly, and recently we ate at Artist Point at WL and it was fabulous. Some really love the California Grill, but the menu never appeals to us especially with the prices.
