Things to bring to DisneyLand Paris...

just wanted to give anybody going 25th - 28th Aug a heads up - you wont need rain poncho's during that time, because for once i have been super organised and just ordered mine on on-line so i don't end up paying a fortune for them in the parks which will mean we wont get any rain :rotfl2:

Haha! We will be there those exact dates.

All of your ideas are great and some things I would never think of. Any ideas of snacks that travel well? Crisps, cereal bars etc.

Thanks again

As seen on the 22nd of June ;)

There are also lots of stands in the main park that sell fruit along with the rest and the Cookie Kitchen and MarketHouse Deli sells them

They are getting better though I have no idea who, if anyone buys them :goodvibes

Nothing chocolate - gets very messy! Yes, cereal bars are good, small packets of sweets (like the 10p haribo ones, or tubes of fruit pastels). I've taken small packets of raisins to help with the fruit thing, and those fruit school bars. We also take small jar of coffee and hot chocolate as we need our coffee first thing in the morning!

Good idea about bringing a lunch box(for the things you have 'borrowed' at breakfast)! :rotfl2:

I must be lucky but Ive never had problems with people smoking in any queues Ive been in or even near me watching the parades and Ive been 5 times in 3 years.

I think theyve tightened up on taking things from breakfast now, there were signs up when we last went saying food wasnt to be taken outside of the breakfast room.

That is such a shame! will just have to have a big breakfast.

I don't think that will stop folk if they're determined to make their lunch from the breakfast offerings. Some people are very blatant about it, which I couldn't do - on the rare occasion we have breakfast at the hotel I maybe take a couple of croissants and a yoghurt away to have later. But I have seen folk go get a whole tray full of rolls and croissants, make sandwiches with the cheese, ham and chocolate spread, and pack them up in a rucksack in the restaurant!

Its a shame some people ruin it for everyone else, i'm fine with taking a couple of things but I too have witnessed people go over the top.

Last year when we were there this dad got about 10 yoghurts (they only had 1 toddler who was eating them) & they only took 2 with them & left the rest on the table which probably couldn't be used as they don't know if they had been tampered with or left in the warm too long

Hula Hoops seem to be quite resilient to travelling, so we always take those. I also take packs of mini cheddars. After the heatwave of 2 years ago, we've learnt not to take anything with chocolate - had to re-solidify our packs of Yorkie biscuits using the ice buckets back then! :rotfl:

Packs of softmints always go down a treat too.

Crisps do travel well if theyre packed ontop and with nothing heavy like toiletries. Chocolate melts even if its not overly warm. Other snacks that travel well are sweets, biscuits, apples, oranges, dried fruit, cereal bars.

Those signs have always been there - but no one has ever taken any notice of them which to be honest, is at your own risk if you take food out. The reason this is is because perishable food can in fact give you a belly ache if left too long (imagine how long some foods can be out, i.e meats could could be out for a couple of hours with out being changed at peak periods if no one has eaten enough for it to be changed!) or worse. It's health and safety and to cover their back in the even of an outbreak. If it comes to light you ate food you took out from breakfast later in the afternnon and this made you ill, Disney will not be liable to compensate you......

I have never taken any food out, not to say I wouldn't though, but I eat enough to get me through and then have a very late lunch and snack in the evening. Though when we've eaten in the buffet in the Cheyenne for dinner, we have taken the odd piece of fruit as sometimes you just crave more than one nectarine.....!

We discretely made sandwiches the last time we were there but it was more due to the shock of food prices inside disneyland, they were just a bit more than we expected. We had good breakfast, snacked on sandwiches at lunch and then good evening meal.

In terms of things to take a buggy is high up my list as my kids are 3 and 4. I get tired walking around the park so they definitely need a bit of help!! I know you can hire them there but airlines still let them on board for free so why not.

Also an extra memory card for the camera is recommended or at least clearing the normal one before you leave home.

Hi,
Someone also said about bringing a picnic rug to watch the parades on? Thanks for all your comments.:goodvibes:):thumbsup2:worship:
